DO NOT downplay what you do. You don't "Just fish" with a GoPro on your head. There is a extreme amount of skill , knowledge and dedication added to that. And that came with alot of years of experience.

I just found this video. You are the only person who has broken this down in a way that matches my own understanding AND CONCLUSIONS of the Solunar Theory. Thank you for putting together something that teaches John Alden Knight's theory so very well! My list of factors to improve chances of catching fish: A. Moon phase (1. New Moon, 2. Full Moon, 3. Everything else) B. Time of Day (1. Sunrise, 2. Sunset, 3. Midday). Eyes of fish are sensitive, so bright midday sunlight is painful. Also, brightness makes fish feel vulnerable to be seen, so clear skies make many species skittish and scared to be close to surface waters of lakes. Also, water is cooler in the water column at sunrise. It's cooling down at sunset. Cooler water = water holds oxygen better. Poor oxygen means fish are sluggish or inactive. C. Weather (inland lakes fish like slight overcast, or even gentle rain to oxygenate and cool surface water). D. Location. All these other factors can be met, but if you cast into an empty swimming pool where fish aren't there, you're wasting time. It's important to understand STRUCTURE of the habitat, and how that affects the feeding habits of your target species. E. Lure/bait presentation (color, depth, speed, action). Different colors of lures are either visible or hard to see depending on sunlight levels, and water clarity. Lures should be chosen that best mimics the.species' natural food sources.

You earned my subscription today, great information. You've given me some theory and consideration of influences that might enhance the opportunity to catch fish, I appreciate that. holy crap the amount of information in this video is insane, I find while diving that the fish are more scared and skittish when the weather is switching from sunny to cloudy, im not sure why this is, so when I fish I prefer that its either really sunny or really cloudy. Thanks for putting all this great information out, definitely gonna try to use some of it next chance I get🤙

Change in barometric pressure affects the fish' swim bladder, they have to change depths to ensure their bladders are happy. Ive read that changing states can take the fish off the feed due to this.

Bait fishing at night on a incoming high tide, building up to a full moon, heavy sinkers to hold your bait and cast into structure. Works well in FNQ in the estuaries. If your in a boat put a light above the water to attract live bait so your not cast netting into snags. Use coffee tins for mozzie coils at each end of boat. Being at night if it's summer you won't die from the heat too lol. If on a jetty/ fishing a deep channel use a green light in the water to attract squid and livies. Full moon nights can be good for barra, if it's flooding fish drains and junctions with shallow yellow lures.

The first night of high pressure in freshwater will see fish actively hunting using the moon to silhouette the bait fish.

Great tutorial on moon, tides and current. Wind direction is also very important for land based ocean fishing. Also, while not a fixed feature like tides, if you are already near a fishing site you should pay attention to sudden changes in barometric pressure. It's a bit risky with new carbon based rods but if you start fishing just before a sudden storm you have an excellent chance of catching nice fish. Just be ready to toss your rod far away and hit the dirt when it starts humming.
