Fishing the BEACH for whatever bites using live mud minnows! We head out to go saltwater fishing at a new beach in North Florida. Last video we hooked into some awesome fish at the beach, so today we're investigating to see if there are more around! What kind of fish would be around a beach like this?? Hopefully today we can hook into some flounder, and possibly find some more shark teeth along the beach. I did not expect for this to happen..
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 533,000 I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!

The color of a shark's tooth has a little to do with age, but is more affected by the type of sediment it is found in. Florida has a lot of phosphate, which is a black mineral, so a lot of teeth found in Florida will be black. If you were to find a tooth in South Carolina, it would likely be a brownish color because of the tannins in the water coming from the swamps and rivers. Up in the Jersey/ Delaware area, there's a lot of iron in the sediment. So you may find more reddish/orange colored teeth. Where age comes into play is that the longer the tooth sits in a certain sediment, the darker the tooth will get.

@FirstStateFishing vary retrieve speeds and pauses. 3 casts per spot and move if no bites. Fast moderate and slow. With each cast change pause and retrieve speeds to see what fish respond to.

Nice video man! When I get a flounder bite I normally try to let them chew it for 5-10 seconds before hooking. That may be why you lost some maybe not, just worth mentioning I thought.

Flounder are ambush predators. You can’t just cast it and let it sit. They tend to be a little lazy and they dig in , so the more you move it and cover ground the better your chances
@joegrande4848
@joegrande4848 Жыл бұрын
It's the same with bass and stripers. The conditions oxygen levels will play a factor. That's why it's important to try 3 different retrieve speeds fast medium and slow and vary pause times. 3 casts per spot you dry different retrieve speeds and pauses.

Was that a circle hook I saw at the end? That could affect your hook up ratio on flounder. I tried them here in Jersey for fluke and couldn’t hook any, try a Gamakatsu octopus hook or their bait holder hook next time.

I'm pretty sure those are mummichog a species of killifish not mudminnow. Mummichogs and a bunch of different killifish are found in salt, brackish, and sometimes freshwater. Mudminnow are a nocturnal freshwater fish that have a slight resemblance to mummichog but are a different species

Bro I have feeling that the reason you don’t catch a lot of fish is the rod your using, it has to many colors, and that might not make sense, but most fishman I watch have just a black rod. Or sometimes it’s the line it makes the bait to obvious.
