I find your videos very soothing, a moment of peace in a wild world. I cant say how happy I am to know that people like you still exist in our world. Much love and peace from Alaska, where I can assure everyone that masses of salmon are most certainly from the hand of God.

It’s hard to overstate how magical this channel is. What a treasure. I’d almost forgotten the power of words.

"Be still and know that I am God..." is what came to mind as I listened to your reading. Thank you for sharing.

I want to sincerely thank you sir. I deal with severe anxiety disorder, among other things which are not important, and your tone of voice, apparently sincere love for life, and your poetry help me cope in ways I cannot express. Thank you, thank you, and again, thank you. May God always bless and protect you and what you love. God is good. Fearing fear is only another trap for a panic attack!

Thank you for this video! A point of possible interest: Ted's first book with photos was Remains of Elmet, which came out a few years before River. It was done in a slightly smaller format.

" We must always not only preserve, but positively celebrate the arts of peace, all the more so on the precipice of war, all the more to do the things that are intrinsically worthwhile and not to capitulate to sort of nerves or fear." Well put!

Arrived here after looking for a reading of The Smile and stayed here because of the equivocal triad of beard , pipe and the bookshelves . Fresh air within the stale suffocation of the KZfaq algorithm.

Did you ever read the writings of Eugene Peterson? He was an American pastor and often spoke of the apocalyptic poet.

I know that feeling… after five or six days moored in the middle of nowhere, I sense it’s over and time to be among people again. I move the boat to a village, visit the church then go into the pub; cautiously, carefully tiptoeing into Society once again. I’m aware my throat is tight when I order my drink, because I haven’t spoken in dozens of hours. It sounds strange to me, and it sounds slightly like regret - because IT is over, once again, for a while. I can’t stay in the middle of nowhere for too long, and I can’t go there when I’m not ready. The most powerful sensation is the regret. But the solace is that, in time, I’ll be able to “go fishing” again, when I’m ready. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jMhyfrp5yZqpj2Q.html
