Usually I don't comment but this is awesome information, wish we knew this 2 years ago. It happened to my wife and I one month into using it. We got towed back, no one we contacted could help. We replace the battery with another skis battery and luckly found someone near that had a diagnostic computer. He deleted the codes for low battery and couldn't find anything else. Finally, he took the sparkplugs out to check for spark, and then it turned on.

Brother thanks for your kind words. Yes there are lots of things I wish I had known too but that is just part of this style of fishing. Seadoo really has an awesome product and the fact that they were willing to jump in first to the jetski fishing market, well they get huge props for doing that. They are learning just like we are so that’s why I really feel it’s important to put out these videos. We need a supportive community that we can turn to in helping with problem solving. Over time I’m hoping my channel and products will catch on. The challenges are great to try and figure out. I’m really interested in hearing from my subscribers on how these changes to their skis are helping them out. If you haven’t went to my playlist you really should. Look under Livewell modifications. The drain port and aeration changes to the Livewell are just so simple to do. They are just next level in how they really work and so inexpensive to do. Thanks again and keep watching.

Great video! Okay, long comment alert😂. I’ve had these problems with my ‘21 Fish Pro. I installed the BRP auxiliary battery kit but it’s flawed. The kit comes with a non-replaceable, inline fuse. I would go out with both batteries fresh off the charger at home just to have my ski not start once I launched. I think my main battery is bad and when trying to start the engine, the fuse to my second battery had blown. I couldn’t figure out why my ski wouldn’t start with two batteries. I put a different style marine fuse in and it instantly blew as well when trying to start my ski. I still need to replace my main battery but I ended up installing a marine grade, two-battery switch that lets me run one, two or no batteries. That way I know I have full battery power at start up. I also carry one of those super compact jumper batteries that practically fit in a coat pocket. I would definitely recommend carrying one. Mine literally saved me from being swept out of a jetty as the tide was ripping out. As far as the spark plugs go, I’d recommend getting a spark plug socket that has a rubber grommet in it to hold the plug. Dropping them into the holes can close the gap on the plugs and cause them not to work as well or at all. I watched your windshield video before this one. Really good info!

Sorry for all your troubles brother. We also had one of those mini chargers that Joe uses to start heavy equipment. It still wouldn’t jump it. But I believe my plugs were to Fowled to work. Thanks for your advice on the plugs.

Again always great videos, still waiting for you to make one with you spot lock and live well set up lol. Im here because my 23 trophy left me stranded yesterday. All bone stock with the Hijuu for both. I believe I ran my livewell on and off to keep bait alive a little too long. Luckily i carry a battery pack jump starter that was able to get me started and back to the dock. it died right at the dock. What I learn about these two battery system and responding to what you read, They all run as one, there isnt a fail safe if one is drain it wont take from your main. Now im searching for new and more reliable batteries because this one wont come back to life. Unless I jump it, itll start but wont hold charge. I really do wish accessories ran on the second battery and the main battery is strictly use to turn over the engine. Nothing worst than being Solo with nobody in site and your ski wont turn over.

Check your main battery. The lead post are a really poor design and break easily. Also is your secondary battery lead as well?? You have to have lead on your main but all of my others are lithium. They just perform better and hold charges longer. Also I recharge mine after every trip. I installed quick charge plugs on all of my batteries.

@@One-offOutdoors yes sir both are lead Hijuu brand batteries. I charge them fully before every trip. 99 hrs on it. I Checked the connections & followed it. literally from the second battery a Pos & Neg terminal goes directly to the main. This is from factory. Theres no “accessory” only battery they both are being ran as one battery & piggy back off each other as one. I just now went over to try to start it. Completely dead. No signs of life. Clamp on my battery pack jumper and start it. Fires right up. I have warranty on the batteries. if the dealer replaces them with the same crap batteries I’d rather go buy my own.

Regarding slow towing...You can install a valve that cuts off the water flow to the engine when towing and with that engaged, you can tow as fast as you need. Another option is to have a hose clamp. Just gotta know which hose to clamp.

That is an awesome find!! I saw a video where one was installed on a Fishpro however it was in a spot that was only accessible by removing the whole deck plate. So I’ll look into locating this in a better spot that you can access possibly through the ski pole access lid. Thanks again

@@One-offOutdoors Don't waste the time, money or effort installing one of those valves. All you need is to carry one of those plastic hose pinch off pliers...you have it just in case and someone else out on the water with you may need a tow as well. Easy way to identify the hose to pinch off is find your flush port line and follow it down to a plastic Y fitting. The other line on the Y is the one to pinch off.

Depressing the throttle completely while cranking will signal the ecu to not inject any fuel. Sometimes this alone will help clear a flooded engine.

😳Seriously?? That seems like the complete opposite of what would happen right?? Now I’m wanting to flood my engine just to see if this works. Thanks for your advice I hope a lot of people see your comment. 👍

Dumb question but I've taken my new trophy out 5 times. Should I be charging my battery? I haven't yet but I'm not sure if that's something I need to do. I take it out every 3 days since I've had it

I put a quick connect plug on every battery. I recharge after every trip. My wife’s Fishpro is stock. She used her Livewell today and it has been on a slow charge for about 5 hours and it’s still not fully charged yet. It will stay on all night until we go out again in the morning. The Fishpro has a system that recharges the battery but only when driving.

One thing I would not use a Plain ole regular deep well socket for the spark plugs when a Proper Spark plug socket is so inexpensive that has a rubber insert to hold the plug and bring it out of the plug well no plyers needed.

Definitely agree with you. Old habits are hard to break. In the door of every truck I currently own or have owned are these three items 1. One pair Leather Gloves 2. Channel lock plies 3. A second set of channel lock pliers. LOL It’s hard to get the red out of your neck sometimes.
