That was fun.. I have one of those reels , yet haven’t quite figured out how to put the line on correctly. I’m sure it’s pretty straight forward but my little brain wants to over complicate it. lol. Anyway, thanks for the “test-a-fly” trip. God bless brother.

I have several Automatic reels.. it's pretty simple to on line. most need no backing just the fly line.

@@FishTales-Reel-Life-Adventure I was thinking that it did not require backing, I’m just unsure of how much to unwind it so when I put line on it, it will retrieve correctly and not run out of spring tension. I would look totally unprofessional with extra line just dangling from my rod.. haha.

Thank you for "test a fly ", a favorite of mine. And, on the flies we use, could it be how much faith in a certain fly correspond to no. of fish or success we have ?

Absolutely! We don't catch any fish on the fly we don't use! ;)
