FishTales: Slip Cork Popper Head

Күн бұрынUsing a simple foam slip cork this is a very inexpensive way to make a lightweight popper head for fly fishing surface bass bugs. Use it as a fixed head or as a popping cork which is what I've been testing lately with growing success on big bass.

I just use my 5 weight 9ft rod with 7 to 8 weight line.. and a good wind assist ;) If you have a heavier rod that will probably work better..

Interesting idea. The popping corks are weighted aren't they? How do you cast them on a fly rod?

the slip cork has no weight like the normal popping cork and that is why I use it.
