No not been stopped, so long as it's readable at the required distance, and correct size letters, it's not normally a problem. The biggest problem with plates is, messing with letters or numbers to look like something there not, or using that spray that hides them from Camara's. Got a real black one on my 1970 BSA thunderbolt. Glad you like the video 👍

What size is the number plate? Been thinking about changing mine to black & silver, it looks good.

I just purchased a cheap handle bar clock off eBay, then removed the handle bar clamp. Then just stuck it to the headlight with double sided tape.😉👍 eBay item number...175640162138

Thanks, It was mind boggling, but think it could be done a lot simpler now I know what to do 😄 I will need a reflector for its first MOT, but I think I can change the lens to a Lucas one, and have been told the reflector is included in the light 👍

Let's hope they do fit one like this on future BSA's, it looks perfect for the bike, there is an add on rear light unit now on the market that looks similar to this one( think they copied my design 😂😂). but I think it still looks ugly for such a beautiful looking bike., there's a big ugly plate that goes from the light to the rear seat. Just so you don't have to drill holes. But, I suppose it still looks better than the original one dragging on the floor 😂👍

Hi, thank you , I also think it's what BSA should have done first, along with the rear shock should have been black like the originals. I got a cheap light fitting off ebay UK. £35. But the lens don't have the clear bit for the number plate, so you can buy another lens, a Lucas one, it's a lens and back surround, not the chrome bracket, you can re use that., which does have the clear. Yes but I was first in, they just copied me, 🤣 The tec one looks as crap as the original one already on. That massive ugly plate at the top? It just looks like a cheapo contraption, something BSA would have invented, the way I did it looks like a factory finish. And why would anyone want to return it back to the original fixing? But I suppose, not everyone is confident enough to do it properly 🫣👍

@@awesomeappleby5923 fair point, problem with your style is that the indicators are in the wrong place when a rack and panniers are fitted and nowhere else to fit them, so not a lot of options, leave as is or fit the TEC one or similar with indicator brackets I am more than qualified to do a simple rear light number plate replacement

This light is way neater then the TEC effort.

Not required in UK, so took them off for the more retro look. Just warm them up with hairdryer, then get some nylon fishing line behind them. Came off easy, and it's only double sided tape which peels off the forks easily. sorry, did you mean rear reflector? If so, not put one on yet , but if I change the lens to a Lucas one, it has a rear reflector built in the lens.🫣👍
