Fitting Yellowspeed Coilovers on the civic EK

Hi all hope you keeping well.
Since buying the civic back in 2020 one thing its been crying for was a decent set of Coilovers so finally I've fitted them and a matching skunk2 strut brace at the rear to compliment the fresh suspension.

Would recommend buying some coilover covers. Stops them seizing up over time and keeps them in mint condition👌🏼

Yeah I did see them sock like covers, will probably look into them further down the line.

Hi mate, the car still needs a proper geo setup. For now I just replicated heights of the old suspension and run this on 15clicks up from the softest setting.

Great video mate 👍don’t know if you have checked but Honda rear wheel liners tend to hold water and start to rust underneath the rear arches? If you have a little rust I would just check if you haven’t yet .

Thanks mate, yes my arches are a little rusted need to replace them soon. I remember hearing the same thing on my facelift ep3 that they hold water, will probably get rid of them mate when I have the arches done.

Hello, top video - I want to do it too, how many millimeters did you set the front distance between the mount and the bottom of the shock absorber? Thank you.

Hi mate, I can’t remember. I think the only thing I did was replicate the suspension I took off.

put the car on flat ground or wait for it to be on the ramp for the geo, crack the bolts loose and re-tighten them. it will fix the squeak issue

Thanks bro, will defo have that done. I thought they just needed a grease or something 🤣.. You know this thing more then me mate lol

@@Mk4heavenHD yeah through all the adjustable arms and poly bushes on in a rush to get a quick aligment done and then sold it straight after. But it started squeeking after I done it all and it's because I tightened them all why it was jacked up

@@BishopBuiltPerformance Thanks for mentioning mate appreciate it. I must say under the car and around both front and rear brakes is clean for an EK I’m sure you invested a lot of time in it.
