Always fun to watch grown-ups play with toys and have a good time. I like the scanner/communicator noises too. Reminds me of how my classmates and I would reenact/play act episodes of Star Trek (Original Series) running around in the play ground making phaser and tricorder noises and confusing the nuns.

Great episode, the new setting and rule for salvage will definitely change up the campaign. I am definitely going to role up a new crew and run a 10 turn campaign to see if it is viable, but will add the travel portion of the original rules as they move to different salvage locations.

I absolutely love the energy and enthusiasm you put into these vids. You really know how to make the story come alive. It has now come to the point where I can’t watch stuff from other creators because they all seem so bland in comparison. I hope someday you consider doing a Five Leagues from the Borderlands or Five Klicks from the Wasteland series as i’d definitely be down for watching them too.

Hey Trevor, I've been a subscriber since January 2019, right at the beginning and I'm so happy to see your channel grow, especially with you displaying content and hobbies many us passionate about and even inviting others to find entertainment and enjoyment into it with us. Your imagination and characterization of each NPC and character is so enjoyable to watch and let's my mind wonder into a space of imagination, beyond, like a cinematic piece being brought alive within my thoughts. I love it. Keep it up, my man.

25:09 "If this was a role-playing game, he might want to talk to them, but this is a tactical miniatures adventure game, so he opens up!" I suddenly understand the difference between this series and previous series; I wasn't sure why I wasn't as engaged with this one until I heard that. It's still fun to watch, but I'm looking forward to when you go back to a more character/role-playing focused game, because you're such a good actor and so good at voices and storytelling, and that's what originally drew me to this channel.

Its all your fault! haha. Already busy as heck with my other `group play` and family rpg games.. plus my solo rpg and miniatures campaign (long running), But this series gave me a lot of much needed inspiration to do something similar (solo) to Five Parsecs. OK, I believe you convinced me. I apologize for using Amazon for the core book. I am getting the expansions through your links. As someone who loaded up on the Terraclips (OP) stuff for Malifaux, I appreciate the love for card terrain. I also picked up Fice Leagues from the Borderlands and the Shantytown set from Battle Systems. I'll be able to use the latter for my test run of the PnP rules for Mutant: Zone Wars. Love the energy, Trevor, and thanks for these playthroughs. Such a breath of fresh air compared to a standard battle report.

Wow. That experience of slowly being overwhelmed by enemy forces, the natural progression from individual encounters to groups all the way to an entire room full of foes. Those rules really put pressure on the player, needing to move fast to get to all the points of interest, but spreading out too much to save time will result in seperated and lonely crew members being confronted with groups of enemies. That last encounter in your scenario really felt like the climax in a story, having gotten all they wanted, the crew is surrounded by enemies and they essentially jumpout of the window while bullets fly past them. The captain takes one final flesh wound (probably helping the wounded Kale out of the window) and they fly out into the sunset

A new episode! 🥳 Those long 13 days since the last one have felt like a lifetime 😆 I loved the intro which was a nice way to narrate Kale getting lost last episode 👍 I've got The Freelancer's Handbook so it was nice to see you playing some of the rules from it which I haven't yet played As others have mentioned I would rather watch one of your episodes than a mainstream TV show. Apart from your obvious enthusiasm, another reason for this is how, with the roll of a die everything in the story can change and, unlike a TV show where the main characters rarely die because the show's producers always have one eye on the cash cow that is the next season so heaven-forbid a main character dies. In your show, any character is fair game. Please, keep playing it that way! 😊

What a fun new set of rules! I love the exploration/salvage missions. Hope to see more of them i the future. This episode was a blast! Also Trevor, with Range removed with the Dramatic Combat rules, does that mean pistols and rifles both have infinite range?
@MeMyselfandDieRPG
@MeMyselfandDieRPG Жыл бұрын
They still have their normal max range, there's just no hitting targets on 3+ within 6" in the open. It's either in the open within max range of your weapon (5+), or in cover within max range (6+). Certain weapons have mitigating traits - like pistols now get +1 to hit within 6".

I thought that too, but I had cut all distances by 1” (when I remembered…) for the smaller table. Also, I liked the idea of the “mysterious blip” on the other side of the wall remaining hidden until they were within sight (or REALLY close… 2” in this case) 😁
