Indie rock used to mean it was on an independent label ( not major labels) but somehow even that got muddied. Built to spill is classic

When I think of Hawaii I think of that Beach boys from Cocktail , Chicago then you have the band to many songs to think of Chicago is easier than ILL.? Am I hearing Sweet Home Chicago from the Blues Brother in my head? John Cougar ,

I played Butterfield Blues Band "East-West" yesterday. Art Ensemble Of Chicago would be an easy choice. Indiana Wants Me! I like my Indie more than Grunge.
