I don't think so. The bags were designed to handle the amount of pressure. We are putting in them.

Your vehicle will still drive straight most likely but your camber changes when on lift mode or access mode. Staying in lifted will result change in toe a bit causing toe wear so an alignment is recommend.

Stumbled across NewDefenderMods who make subframe lift kits for the new Defender. Here's why they don't recommend lift rods any more: Keeps suspension bags at a height factory did not intend. Possible warranty issues Uncomfortable ride all the time. Solid style lift rods can lead to height sensor issues as factory height sensors are highly flexible for a reason. To protect the sensors in case of impact. Loose down travel, every inch you lift using rods you lose that in down travel. Suspension tops out when four-wheel driving in high mode, producing audible and uncomfortable clunking. Suspension geometry is affected when using lift rods away from factory perfect settings If you run bigger tires, If susp fails you end up on the tires stuck with no way out, cant even tow. Due to the above, we no longer recommend them or endorse them.

None of this makes any sense. All the functions work as they should. What size did you order?

@@Lucky8 i got the 2 inch proud rhino lift kit. not sure what didnt make sense. i bought the kit, had a mechanic put the rods on my defender, and when im in off-road height setting in the car and i press it to go down into access mode, it wont go down. i get a message on the gauge cluster that says "Re-select suspension height if clear of obstacle. Suspension is now in extended mode." And then wouldnt go down into normal access height (the middle ride height setting on the defender) it would stay in off-road

We have thousands of these kits out there and they were also used on the Trek edition Rovers. My guess would be a bad height sensor. Or perhaps the way vehicles calibrated at the factory

Yes they are or the truck will not sit level

It tricks the air suspension into thinking that the truck is lower than it is, so it pumps the suspension up higher. Effectively, your normal height becomes offroad height, and offroad height becomes extended height.
