For many years now... for a small puncture or cut... I use superglue. It go's fast...and never failed me. Stretch the tube... put some superglue on/in the spot... release it... and be sure that the tube is not sticking together inside. Wait a few minutes... and it's ready. Since I started to use this glue to repair my tires... I never used anything else.

I always carry two spare tubes and a standard repair kit as back up. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to add a strip of the flex tape "just in case".

I love the drill press vise . I bought mine at harbor freight dirt cheap. (Around $16) after seeing a video of you using yours to hold a bike axle/ hub. One helluva handy tool for bike repair.

I really like the idea of using it as a tube fix as our local bike shop cannot get certain sizes of tubes and tires. As far as tires maybe a test of gorilla glue on holes or slashes might be interesting to try. I’m amazed at things I’ve fixed with it. I’ve used flex seal on my kayak to seal a compartment and it worked.

What a great idea! I have used Flex Tape primarily on roofs. You may find that letting the patch, on the tire, sit in the sun to warm and soften up and then pressing it down again might improve the seal even better. I'm a new subscriber.

Perfect for emergency roadside repairs. I guess if you'd cut a circular small patch, it would hold longer. Thanks for the tip, my commuter bike has hub gears, the wheel is harder to get out and just throwing in a spare tube is a hassle, so this is the perfect solution, thanx!

Patches are there to get you home, then I always replace the tube. I like that this flex tape is so quick and easy to apply, might just get a roll and pre cut some patches from it. Thanks for the vid RJ!

The flex seal products are all kick ass tbh. I am sold on fex seal and glue. Now after this vid, i believe in flex tape as well.even with the leak, it would get u home

Recently, I went through a whole roll and this is about the only thing I didn't try it on... Good on ya! BTW, it sure gums up scissors so it cuts well with a razor knife.. But I'll be carrying a few squares from now on...

Glad to see you are back up and riding again. I was wondering how the tape would work at repelling thorns etc. from penetrating the tire. There are kits specifically made for that, but the tape seems to be easier to use.

Im using glueless patches since forever, but thats a game changer. Im pretty sure it can patch up a sidewall cut as well. As I ride in the Apls quite often I can tell that the less stuff in my repair kit - the better, since its the heaviest thing in my backpack and its easier to work on the field with less stuff that can fly away because of the wind....

I was just changing out a flat tube and was debating having a master patch kit in the garage and the emergency kit in the saddle bag, now all I need is a roll of flexseal tape and cut little emergency squares for the saddle bag kit and the roll for the garage, Thanks allot RJ !! Take care. Also Im now womdering if the 3M rubber mastic tape used for chainstay protection will also work, I shall experiment

Thank you for thank you for showing me sir so next time that I get a the hole in my inner tube I'll make sure to clean the inner tube first before I put the Flex Seal tape on there and since its hopes for two weeks and you're still riding it to this this day with Flex Seal tape I know what to do now I just been putting patches on my inner tube and not thinking about the getting the bubbles out but now I'll just use the Flex Seal tape from now on if I ever get up flatten my bicycle tire

That's amazing. You DID what some of us were THINKING of trying LOL!! Well it works even better than I would've expected. My thing is, yes I use tubes on my lesser expensive HTs, but I have a pinch-flat on a rear tire I had on my FS Stumpjumper that's tubeless. I replaced the tire, but if I want to use the "pinch-flat" tire again, I'd have to run it with a tube. I was wondering if I could try and patch the pinch flat from the INSIDE and see if it'll run tubeless with the sealant again. After seeing your little experiment here, I think I'm gonna' give it a shot. Can't get worse I'd still have to run that older tire with a tube anyway, so I think I'll try it. ~JSV ps- I think on my hardtails I'll be carrying pieces of this FlexTape to use as patches from now on. Interesting idea. I gave up on adhesive patches because they would eventually leak... but this looks promising. It could also maybe double as a tire boot.

Innovative, I can see someone packing this on a long cross country trip for repairs a long way from home. A good test though. I use a wallpaper seam roller to press a patch in place. And narrow gorilla tape as rim tape on 26" wheels.

Great application, I was getting tired of buying the little glue tubes for patches that once opening dry out. Pain to have so many patches unused and no dang glue. And I had an unopened box of the flex products that was bought years ago, looks like some strong stuff.

Great, that's what I use for patching up quick holes. Had more than one. Still holds air after a month or two later.

Well it works better than some if those no glue patches that wirk if they feel like it. Its a good idea to carry some pieces of this in the tool bag.

Cut some quarter sized patches, add a few alcohol pads and you now have a glue-less patch kit.

The patch works fine, just needs more sanding on those ridges. Nice vid :)
