Worked. Thank you. If anyone finds the command prompt complicated, you could buy the software outright if its for something important. Otherwise, if you're struggling, look where your file is stored. His video is stored on his D drive in a folder named "s". If yours was stored on your E drive in a folder called video and your files were called v1 and v2, you would type the following instead: cd /d e: cd /d e:\video copy/b v1.mp4+v2.mp4 Hope this helps someone

for a shortcut in the "copy" part, just copy and paste v1 and v2 to the directory that your command prompt shows. then no need for the change directory. you can go straight to "copy/b v1.mp4+v2.mp4"

5 years down the line and it has helped me. thought the files were not recovered in flawless conditions it has helped a bunch and i appreciate.

What a hero, merging 2 files so you have instead of 10minutes 20 mintes which is actually 2x the whole video, and due the 50% repair you stll have the full video repaired. You are a savior!

Fixed a GoPro video that was corrupted. GoPro was NO help at all- blaming it on the PC, video card, user error, etc. BS! GoPro cam is consistently corrupting the last file in a long recording time, where the whole video is broken up into 17+ min segments. Glad for the fix. Thanks!!

Got damaged, tried upto 5 other repairers but none worked. Their recommendations were to trash the file. That's when I chanced upon your video. I got it converted successfully with clear visuals but it runs at 1/4th speed and regular audio.....When I speed up the video, the audio scrambles.... but that's okay. FOR EVERYONE WHO JUST GOT TWO FILES WICH ARE JUST 50% AS BIG AS THE ORIGINAL ONE. TRY THIS: Do the steps where he copied and merged the file and got a file which was two times as big as the original. And now do the same with your new file again. If you have done this you actually have a file which is 4 times as big as the original. Try to repair it now, the program will hopefully give you 3 files. Two of them will be just 50% of the lenghth again but one is full sized.

So i just tried this with some of my corrupted footage, and all it did recovery wise was fast forwarded the 10 minute clip into 5 seconds....sooo not so helpful for me...

If anyone gets "Access is denied" like me, I had to turn off the Read-only attribute.

A note for everyone using a gopro sessions 4, My brothers' files go corrupte after a few clips ( not sure if its because of the file size or bad sd card ), either way I followed the steps and got the repaired file, open it and hit another error after the export. Which was ' A bad public movie atom..', anywho, to fix this problem I opened the 'repaired' file ( Placed by video repair ) in vlc ( version 2.1.3 Rincewind ) and found that it played perfectly there. Sooo the final step was to use vlc's convert/save feature and export the 'repaired' file to a new file by vlc and that worked! That exported file will play fine in any video editor, unlike the 'repair' file. P.S. When you export in VLC please make sure you wait till the entire length of the file finishes playing/exporting.

Yes, by following the steps in the video, I managed to repair my corrupt .mp4 file. A tip: To read more about the DOS commands just type HELP or more specific HELP COPY.

For me: I opend my folder, clicked FILE found comm prompt and entered the comm copy b/ v1.mp4+v2.mp4 and took a few seconds. and BAM super hard at first but watching ten times got me through it thank you.. the only problem is NO sound Lol at least the file will get fully restored Lol

For me, "repaired" file wasn't repaired at all. As the program suggested I tried to "repair" a non-broken file and it came out fucked as well :(

How is it possible that I am the only person who realizes that the file length is not doubled? The file size is doubled, but look at the length! Its the same! the fixed file still ends up being only half the length of the original file.

So everything worked perfectly for me but when I got to the repaired folder the v1 read 225kb and the video started and gave me a short thumbnail of what the video might be but it was less than a second. Any ideas?

The repaired video played, but in fast motion... What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it? I don't want to just run the video in slow motion because it seems like some was cut out. It went from being 3GB to 134MB. 1 hour and 52 minutes long to 1.5 minutes long. Any help please?

Cannot believe this software actually works. Before trying this I tried few famous softwares and website but none could recover my corrupted video. In my first attempt the video frame rate didn't match, an 11 min video was recovered as one hour long, then after manually adjusting frame rate in setting I got the exact size.

This is very helpful; if the video finished and it is really short, make another folder but instead put 3-4 copies and name them v1,v2,v3,v4,etc. then merge all them, you can copy more than 2 in command prompt at once. doing this will make more of the video playable. Also if the video is sped up, use a video editor and separate the audio and cut the speed of the video in half. Hope this helps

Works like a charm. For some reason recorded video file with onepleus 5 phone and it was corrupted when finished. My guess is that because the phone was at low 4% battery when the 3 hour recording ended, the phone had moved to battery saver mode and that is probably the reason it did not save the mp4 video file properly.
