This is on my Too 5 Must have curriculum list. It’s such a great product. I too enjoy the new versions format however the older version worked for us as well. 🌻

Love that! I’d have enjoyed how smoothly it has gone for my younger two!

We are using level 1 this year. It’s going smoothly so far. I will definitely continue to use it. I like the new version much better than the old one. Thanks for sharing!

I do like the new version better. I would like it if they had a place to write the definitions in the book too. That would make it even better :)
@luv4all437 ай бұрын
@@CalmintheChaosHomeschool I agree! That would cut down on juggling notebooks.

We are using it now and love it!

I found 3 levels of the teacher manuals for the previous version on ebay for $10. I'm going to write it on our dry erase board and have him use magnetic montessori symbols for parts of speech and then write the corrected sentence in his notebook.

That’s a fun way to do it!

I’m using this with my 10yo/5th grader this year and like it a lot. We actually started it towards the end of last year and are almost done and ready to move on to the next level. I like how quick it is and that my son can pretty much do it on his own other than going over the brief lesson at the beginning of the week.

I think curriculum that kids enjoy, can do in their own, and learn from are just gold!

We have been enjoying fix it grammar this year also. Our oldest didn’t like it. Maybe it was too gentle for her to start? Not sure. She seems to like more of a traditional style.
@CalmintheChaosHomeschool6 ай бұрын
She might be more of an Easy Grammar type :) I feel like that’s more the mastery based approach while this is the spiral approach to learning grammar.

@@CalmintheChaosHomeschool you’re right. she’s been enjoying easy grammar this year.

We are using Nose Tree this year and really like it! It's fast and thorough. My daughter isnt crazy about the story, but it makes covering grammar quick and straightforward.
@CalmintheChaosHomeschool7 ай бұрын
Yes! I love how quickly it can be completed and it's still a spiral approach.

Loved fix-it with my older kiddos. I haven’t started it with my youngest yet (11) because he struggles (and is resistant to) writing. Do you have any accommodations for kiddos with dysgraphia?
@CalmintheChaosHomeschool7 ай бұрын
Really, my only accommodation for my son with dysgraphia is just to not have him do the vocabulary look up and write down. He’s able to write the 2 sentences we do each time. However, for further modification, I don’t think writing the sentence is entirely necessary. Or the child could type up the story correctly in a document in the computer. Also, instead of labeling all the parts, they could highlight different things with different colored highlighters.

It's a fun, easy way to cover a lot of grammar concepts.
