After 7 years with my original ps4 cleaning and maintaining it, this bluetooth module went out UGH! I guess it just got old or used too much. Got the part coming in and have a olan to get some help to fix this thanks for the vid!

You can mix low melt solder on the pin pad. Then use desolder wick. It will desolder more easily and quickly

I got a used PS4 the other day and the controller would randomly disconnect so I took it back and they gave me a new one and it was fine until I turned it off and went back then it started doing the same thing. The next day I set it up as a wired controller and haven't had any issues so I was thinking it could be the Bluetooth what do you think?

Hey man I need help. I recently took apart my gf ps4 for cleaning cuz it sounded like a jet engine, and now after I put it back together any controller she uses will disconnect randomly. Can this be done with just the basics and heatgun and proper amount of Flux. Have an old 1215a as well that is doing this and the motherboard or disc drive daughter board stopped recognizing discs. Send me your Discord link or somewhere for prices to send just my motherboard parts. Really want to fix on my own but dont have the fancy over $200 equipment. But have the knowledge 😊

One of my dualshock 4 cannot connect to PS4, but others are ok. Can the problem be my controller's bluetooth moudule's problem. Because i cannot find signal from the controller with my cellphone.

sounds like the Bluetooth in the controller itself somehow got damaged if that's the only controller not working. whenever i have a controller go bad, i just buy a new one of the same color and return the bad one in the new packaging. considering almost every ps4 controller i've had gets analog drift within 6-8 months, I don't really feel like i'm doing anything wrong. every ps3 controller i've had lasted me years before the analog sticks just got too worn out, they never had this stupid drift problem that the newer consoles all seem to have.

My problem is not the console, but the controller itself. A specialist told me that the Bluetooth chip/module inside the controller is not working. Thing is: I had bought the controller brand new 2 days ago (July 22nd) and I lost the receipt to exchange the controller or go send it off the Sony. How much are you charging? I'm not about to get my money robbed by Sony and it's horrible DS4 controllers. What you said is exactly the same case, but it's guaranteed my controller since my other controller doesn't react like this at all.

i hate ds4 controllers. they're nice while they're working but nearly every one i've ever bought gets analog drift within 6 to 8 months. i always buy my controllers at walmart because you can return items without a receipt up to 3 times a year or something.

i just paid $150 to have a new hdmi port put in at a shop, and as soon as i got it back my controllers won't work unless they're within 2 or 3 feet of the ps4. hopefully the bluetooth module just came unplugged and needs plugged back in. it's hard to believe they'd be careless enough to break the chip, but apparently they can come unplugged quite easily. i'm not messing with it though, whatever problem i have now they caused it so they're fixing it. if you open it they say they're no longer responsible. if the chip needs replaced though they have to send it back to florida and i'll be another week without my ps4.

i was wondering that myself, but both my usb ports are already taken, but i think you can buy adapters that turn one usb slot into 3 or 4 usb slots. i just paid $150 at the shop to get my hdmi port replaced, and as soon as i got it back i have video but my controllers won't work unless i'm 2 or 3 feet away from the ps4. i'm hoping the plug for the Bluetooth module just came loose and needs plugged back in, but i'm not messing with that, i'm taking it back to the shop and they can do it. i never had this problem before so whatever is wrong, they caused it. i'm just annoyed i just went a week without my ps4 and i still can't play it and may have to wait another week if they somehow damaged the module.
