I have a very similar Citizen that I bought in a grab bag of digital watches. The main difference is the push buttons on mine are on the top, not the front of the watch. This was very helpful since my watch is also not working. I will check the negative contact for corrosion. I really like the look of this watch and want to get get it working. I also collect digital watches.

Love the content. What percent solution do you suggest for the isopropyl alcohol for cleaning digital watch electronics?
@VintageDigitalWatches3 жыл бұрын
Mine is 90% and have been using this for the last 5 years, although if it ends up on parts that have printing, like dials, it will dissolve.

Hey. I love your videos and learning a lot. already fixed some watches 🎉. I need your help in one topic. I have a very similar watch like in this video. i got it working again but the lcd is not readable from above. if i look from any other angle i can see the numbers. you know why? any hint? thanks

Simple and effective. Very nice model. I have it with a problem that maybe you know what it is. The numbers are frozen...it does not advance and not points blinking...it is dead in time 1 00 with good LCD contrast...maybe the cristal oscilator? Tried complete cleaning, controlled tracks continuity and all ok. Thanks a lot.

Great video. I have learned a lot. I am wondering if problems with missing parts on a digit can be fixed as you do. Is it always that simpel? Or: is it possible that some parts on a digit are broken? Thanks.
@VintageDigitalWatches3 жыл бұрын
Not always an easy matter, a display can have a faulty digit and that can't be repaired, or the output channel to that digit may be faulty and that is also unfixable.

Hello. Is a Citizen LC 918 a good and interesting watch? The watch I can buy costs 150 USD and is NOS (New Old Stock). The watch is from 1978.

Hey!! How are you? Hope well. I wondering if you can make a sort of tutorial for this topic: a lot of us had buy digital watches in negative display thinking that is cool BUT... you can't read a damn thing without the the light. I guess that requires change the polarized film BUT many of us lack of the experience that you have working whit these little marvels. Thanks mate. Greeting from Chile!!
