Fixing a wyze cam pan

i fix a wyze cam pan, after i applied 24V to its 5V USB power input. this 5V supply goes to 3 DC,DC buck converters, there excess voltage damaged all 3 converters, changing them fixed this camera.

I wanted my Pan V2 to not Pan and this showed me how to open it. I then just unplugged the connectors and all is well, thanks for taking the time to produce this.

You've got so much electronics knowledge to have busted it with 24v in the first place, lol. Learnt a lot from your video, nice content.

Thanks for showing the insides. It looks like replacing the antenna with a stronger one would be pretty easy with that ufl connector.

Where you find the parts? Can the entire board be ordered? Mine got power but nothing happened when plugged in, only the solid orange lite. Try to flush the software but it’s totally unresponsive

It doesn't take 24v to fry one of these. I have one that died on a USB power bank. I was pulling the feed from it for over an hour and it died. At least one regulator seems to be fried (it's the only one getting hot, rather the inductor is getting hot).

Thanks for the teardown guide really needed to know how to get the lens out to remove a piece of lint that was stopping me from getting the right QR code (said it scanned but it always failed to connect) used a magnifier and saw a small piece of lint in between the lens and camera again thanks for sharing the steps to teardown without damage. 🤗

I wanted to Ask. I see the speaker connection in your teardown. Do you know if there is a better speaker/mic that can be put on this? I want this to keep an eye on mom. But her speech and hearing are not the best. So I need something louder so I can hear her ad she can hear me.

I have no idea. I keep getting a code 90 and my wyze used to work just fine. I tired the internet reboot and everything but call wyze themselves

Looking at that error if you can't connect your camera to WiFi. Try changing the WiFi to only 2.4ghz make sure 5 GHz is off. This may help.

I could understand him perfectly. However if you are having trouble there is an option in KZfaq settings to either Slow or Speed up the video. I would recommend slowing down the video. Maybe start with -15 to -20, that is at least a good place to start. There is also a volume increase/captions that can be turned on. If the problem was strictly his accent. You can download an app that will convert the words being said into another language or caption. (Just depends on what is programmed into the app you choose for language conversion)….Hope that helps. *Quick Tip When you comment on a video someone made to be helpful (which this video is) try and remember that why giving a complaint {followed by… “!!”} The explanation mark makes you seem rude and demanding, just like a Kevin or Karen would be. Not saying this is how you are, only saying how you are perceived. It also makes people that take the time to make these videos {ya know, the ones with more knowledge than almost every single person that clicked the video} not want to take the time to make another “how to” etc video. Especially when they are not sponsored by or a retailer of said product. Definitely not the case with this man, he actually responded to your comment and tried to help you further. Good day.
