@@SkillCollectors I picked it up knowing I'd probably do at least 3 but I'm guessing it's cheaper than having a shop do it and a decent amount less than a new pipe. I guess it depends on how bad your pipe is🤔

Cheers! The MAPP gas gets up to about 5.3k Fahrenheit while the propane is ~3600, that really did the trick. I saw a few posts on people using it with car exhausts, they were talking about 20-40psi and MAPP gas to get dents out of headers too.

You need to fill the pipe with water otherwise it’s really a bomb dude. Be safe.

I feel that would make it boil, causing even more pressure to build up eventually exploding. Just like you’re not supposed to cut with a torch on concrete cause the water in it will cause it to explode idk though 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@jordankato It reduces the amount of potential energy in the canister , it’s the same thing you do when testing pressure vessels. .

I've never seen a pipe fixed with a torch while full of water but now I'm interested. I was thinking about going the pure hydraulic method but a video AvE did forever ago on hydraulic injection injuries turned me off to that haha.

@@GarageAddiction You don’t use the torch and your compressor won’t go up to the 10,000 psi that hydraulic systems run at. The pressure inside of a vessel filled with water will be the same but because there is less compressed air there is less potential energy.

@@Whateverpoopiepants I'd be curious what you'd have to push the psi to in that system to remove the dents without heat. I imagine it's higher than 100psi.
