Here is a good trick for all Vauxhall diesel owners with a dpf. Or most diesel cars. The dpf when in a regen triggers the door mirrors and tailgate glass to to demist/heat up. I know it sounds odd but trust me it does. You can add a £1 led diode into the door mirror plug within the speaker cover and the led will light up so you know the car is regening, which you should NEVER stop on these ever. Just to add 99% of all diesel cars do the same, next time your car is regening put you hand on the outside door mirror and you will feel it heat up, it's coded into the ECU, trust me 😁

great post ,I have a nissan qhaskai and i,ve just had a ecu fitted and now my stop start does,nt work

@@scotspie501douglas7 check your glow plugs, sometimes when the glow plug/s fail the stop start won't work. But I wouldn't drive too long with faulty glow plugs no matter what anyone says, the car won't regen if these ain't working and then this causes further probs. But also check the new ECU.

Hi mate, how old is your Insignia? Mine is a 2018, 48k, and sometimes has the start up rattle. Funnily enough for six months the noise went away!! At worst last summer on a handful of occasions did I hear the rattle when going along. I've also been told by two garages it could be the chain, main dealer repair only, 13 hour job!!
@nealtyson3342 Жыл бұрын
@@grahamroe8299 yes mine comes and goes too on start up but I've never heard it whilst driving luckily. I have been told if it does whilst driving then yes unfortunately the lot needs doing as its stretched but on a 2018 model with such low milage, that's insane. Mines a 2016 1.6 cdti Sri nav on 34k. It's all to do with the oil pressure not creating tension on the chain due to a poor designed tensioner that needs a gasket putting behind it. I'm trying to find a garage to do it but they all want to replace the lot which surely isn't necessary and as you say it's a 13 hour engine out job, imagine the bill!!!

I have only just say this video. Oil pressure issue is well known on the 2.0 cdti and this one. Usually 100% it's the o ring within the oiil sump pick up. Cause the warning oil pressure low. I wouldn't run it until this part is changed. Many a Vauxhall engine has been wrecked by this ridiculous problem Vauxhall should have sorted. The crank gear is another major issue. The oil pressure is caused by the o ring and the crank gear fails.
@davidhenderson74332 жыл бұрын
To change the oil sump is easy enough if you have the correct block as Vauxhall revised access to the sump bolts, otherwise you have to drill a section to get the sump off otherwise it's a gear ox drop. This oil pick o ring is very very common. Anyone having Ng a low oil pressure issue needs to sort it asap, or engine WILL fail 100%
