I’ve quite literally followed your lead. I found your channel when you repaired the white C63 and I got one with very similar damage and was able to fix it thanks this your video and then I found the first video of this SLK55 and loved it and now I’ve bought one again with similar damage and with the same colour. It is quite a stunning car and I can’t wait to drive it. Only question I have is, where did you find a front bumper for this?

Insurance companies are a joke these days. They write off cars at the drop of a hat, when quite a lot can be repaired for minimal work. There needs to be tougher regulations on car insurance and stop the spiralling costs to the motorist.

Hi mate just a quick message what does your idle drop down to once warm? Experiencing some steering rattle in my antara why at low rpm checked pump belt ect just noticed when I hold a higher rpm it doesn’t do it so I’m wondering if my idle has dropped to low and maybe needs adjusting if it isn’t that it’s new steering rack 🧐

I have the same car, my issue is with the broken control arm and wheel so I use this video to make myself feel better hopeful it will also be easy to fix by the mechanic

Good day , I came across ur videos, and i was wondering because your seat and curtain airbags were deployed. Did the vehicle starts at once, or you need to replace any sort of fuse?

I have a 2013 Golf GT 150 bhp with 50k. In immaculate showroom condition. Updated VW infotainment system. The car has every extra factory fitted. Slight bang that required new bonnet and NS wing and headlight. Over email third party assessor wrote it off. I complained to Aviva that £1k repairs didn’t justify writing off a £9500 car in such superb condition They agreed and £1k repair by insurance later I had my car back Disgraceful

The bolt by the bonnet I was told you could undo it with the bonnet down not up.

Lucky sump was not damaged , great vids , recently sub to your channel as I’m considering doing the same , seems so satisfying to repair a car to its former glory and make a few quid out of it , keep up the great work 👍

Phil got the bottom pipe which needs bonded back on I would use Sitka flex as you said but I would drill two holes in the plastic bracket apply the sika then use two cable ties to hold it together . Cheers should be a good one!

9300 miles and in this state . That's criminal. Looks as if it's been in a wet muddy field by the amount of mud. Hopefully you will replace the front and rear bumpers etc and it'll make someone a smart car.
