FIXING TOYOTA PRIUS BUMPER SAG

The Gen3 Prius (2010-2015) rear bumper is notorious for sagging with age due to the brackets being made of very soft plastic. Got these metal brackets from Japan to help bring the bumper back up to its original position.

I ordered the parts from the same place and installed them. Worked perfect, Here is a picture of it installed.

I wish I could have seen you put the bracket on 😅 that’s my only complaint though. How long did it take you in total to do it?

I made my own bracket but now the bumper won’t go in like the metal bracket is stopping it from going into place…. the metal is some thin aluminum I don’t really see what my issue is? I cut the notch in and bent it to align with the bumper?

It’s possible it may be too thick or not pressed tight enough up against the lip of the bumper. That’s the only things I can think of.

hi how do u put it in? I'm mean double tap side stick with the bumper?

Yes double sided sticky tape on inside of bumper with slots lined up with bumper clip slots

Oof I don't have the dimensions but it shouldn't be too bad to eyeball! Top fold just needs to be as wide as the bumper bracket. Length doesn't matter too much. Good luck!

@@Alexhaav Did the bracket actually push the bumper cover out a little bit from flush with the quarter panel? I saw someone complain about that but I hadn't heard anyone else complaining. Let me know what you think.

@@zap... barely, to the point where it it negligible. Fixing the sag and having the bumper ever so slightly outwards is much better than just living with the sag imo!
