When mounting new solenoids take longer screws and let some space between the solenoids and engine, that way some hot air can go true and the solenoids will not get to hot. Also I removed the motor cover on top because heat will/can influence the bobines

@@pijopijo866 silnik tak wyje że strach nim jeździć powyżej 90/h. To nie jest kwestia wyciszenia, tylko tego żałosnego silnika.

@@pijopijo866 trochę przesadzam aby uwypuklić gdzie leży problem. Na 5 biegu, przy 100/h ma 2800 obrotów, lub ciut więcej. Przy 120/h dźwięk silnika już robi się nieprzyjemny. Mam nadzieje że pomogłem, bo ja nie pomagam sobie w odsprzedaży pisząc to tutaj. Wieść się rozniesie. Auto jest bardzo OK. Za te pieniądze nie widzę nic lepszego. PO prostu nie do jazdy szybkiej.

Hi thanx for the Video,do you remember what faults were registered in engine ECU? Normally ECU register specific fault codes for the intake manifold runner solenoid valve.

Hi, I don't remember the error code but the sentence was "Throttle Control Valve."

Need to recalibrate, for all volvo cars after 2000. If you replace the throttle body.

Hello! I have two questions: 1. in what mode did you used the multimeter? I mean what did you measure? Volts, Amps, Omhs? 2.the car has to have the key on? and turned around the second mark? or you have to measure without the key on? thank you for your help

It should be approx 33 Ohms, on the pins (cold).

Wiatm. Mam nieco inny problem a mianowicie spalanie rzędu 11 litrów na 100km przy bardzo spokojnej jeździe. Silnik pracuje normalnie, żadnych błędów, nie dymi a spaliny są ok. Czyściłem przepustnnicę ale wyglądała ok. Gdy jadę hamując silnikiem chwilowe spalanie nadal jest rzędu 4-5l/100km.

Witam, sprawdź : filtr powietrza, przepływomierz, prace sondy przed katalizatorem, stan świece zapłonowych, ciśnienie paliwa, czujnik temperatury płynu silnika.

Any suggestions how to diagnose and check PCV system and vacuum system connected to brakes and intake and stuff? My car is hard to start sometimes. Both when cold and warm. But only sometimes. Fuel pump? Fuel pressure? Spark plugs? Ignition coils? EGR valve? MAP-sensor?, PCV-valve?, Throttle Body? Carbon and or dirt in any valve or tubes/lines? Is I wrote before I've already replaced the magnetic solenoids that you replaced here in this video. Had the same fault code. ECM-2008 Throttle system... bla bla.. but I really don't know what failed since I just replaced the whole unit OEM from Volvo dealer. If it was one of the valves or both.. if it was coil that failed or carb that made the valves intermittently stuck or restricted. No fault codes now with my issues. Symptoms are fluctuating rpm when braking coming to a stop and hard to start sometimes, sometimes it starts but dies so I have to restart. Sometimes it starts barely and the car shakes and feels like it just runs on 3 cylinders or 2 with lower rpm also.. like 700 instead of 900-950.. so I need to hit gas pedal for the engine to get into normal state again. Happens rarely but sometimes. When driving slower speeds the car is twitching also when released throttle and let the engine brake.. but not that much noticeable in higher speeds. Mostly in the lower like driving in city. When accelerating it's there but not so much.. Please help with suggestions. This is so annoying.

Hi, check pcv ventilation valve pipe fitted under inlet manifold. Very often is claps or crack not sure the symptoms will be the same like yours but worth to check it.

I have the same engine on my Volvo S40 2007. I also have the same problem (one solenoid shows 30 ohm resistence, the other one nothing). The symptoms are rpm fluctuate when slowing down and slightly vibrates (even after i cleaned the throttle body). What do you recommend, a new one aftermarket, or used oem? What were that car's symptoms for replacing 3 throttle bodies? I found this part only for Ford Focus 2 1.8 liter engine, which is suitable for our Volvos engine too.

Hi. I have a Ford Focus 1.8l 2007 Flexifuel and when i try to accelerate it starts to jerk and loose power and when i stop it dies. Sounds really bad from engine. When i start it again it dies directly. When i start it again after that i start to give it gas but it sounds bad and almost no power at all. But when cold it’s fine. What could it be?

Hi, yes the selonoids is moving intake flaps and related to bad acceleration.

Is this part number good for a v50 1.8f 5243591 ? The car doesn’t start at all, and one of the solenoids shows no resistance at all the other one is 28.5. Any suggestion is very appreciated

Thanks for the video I checked this on my volvo s40 2.0l petrol and changed the throttle with a new on from eBay but still getting error 1585 throttle malfunction any ideas everything else works fine

Need to recalibrate, for all volvo cars after 2000. If you replace the throttle body. Cost me 50 euros at Volvo, there is no guarantee that it work they said before hand. They said its like an organ donation, that can be rejected. So sometimes they buy used parts to fix this issue.

Hi, I have the same car and it's happening to me that it accelerates on its own even reaching 4000 rpm. Sometimes it even turns off. Then I turn it off and on again and everything goes back to normal. You think it's the same problem? I checked and one is zero and the other 38.1...

There is a plastic covered screw in the throttle body. What is it's purpose? The plastic in my screw is cracked, is it bad?

I had a similar problem on my T5 a few years ago. Design fault with the accelerator module. Was replaced 3 times at a cost of £8k, and like 3 months in the garage. The car was only worth £15k. I would never touch Volvo in my entire life again.

@@FixYOURride13 It went to 3 different official volvo garages. The problem was all over the internet. USA customers got a refund but in UK just ignored it. The car was lovely, it's volvo that blanked it's UK customers. I spent more than 30hrs waiting for recovery. A few times with 2 kids under 5.

When disconnecting my solenoids I noticed a distinct click on one of them, nothing on the other. I measured and one shows 33.1 ohms, the other nothing. Will order new part. If this helps my idle problem I am buying you a cake!

Hello, really useful video, thank you! I have change the throttle body of my volvo s40 1.8petrol 2006 twice and the problem wasn't solved. My question is, is anybody used solenoids from Ford? I have read that the engines are the same, but I want to be sure beafore ordering. Thank you!

Hi, yes we used aftermarket solenoids dedicated to Volvo & Ford, be sure the years and check the electric plugs shape.

Hej, mam problem natury następującej: Auto szarpało przy oddawaniu i ujmowaniu gazu, wywalało mi komunikat o obniżeniu mocy silnika, a następnie zapalał się chceck, wskazanie na EGR. EGR został wymontowany i wyczyszczony, dodatkowo wymieniłem te gumowe węże o których mówiłeś w filmie (sterujące klapkami w kolektorze) Auto złapało dobrą elastyczność, nie szarpie, zmniejszyły się wibracje na wolnych. Niestety wrócił komunikat o obniżeniu mocy (motorfunktion nedsatt). Dodam, że mam założony gaz, ogarnięte u dobrego specjalisty, na świeżo zrobione korekty. Z góry dziękuję za sugestie.

Witam, niestety jeśli masz gaz to się poddaje, w twoim przypadku może być zbyt wiele rzeczy, nie da się dać sugestie w takim przypadku, daj auto do dobrego(nie do taniego) diagnosty,

It's not that problem .Problems is in that disaster mazda engines .After 200.000 km then starting to take a lot oil (burning oil) ,and tho.body and egr it's all time buried with a lot oil sludge ,also that opc valve it"s buried ,all system coming to fail down. Same problems with Ford Focus 1.8 ,same engine . Greetings from Ford AG service Läutzaberg Austria .🙋‍♂️

Hi. Could this be the problem causing my volvo to loose power completely. It's a 2009 v50 1.8 volvo. I loose power doing 4th when im doing abput 33mph, i go down to 3rd and i loose all power, the same at 40mph in 5th gear, i go down to 4th gear, engine sounds bad, then looses all power. This always happens from starting the car ftom cold, after about 5minutes. Garage replaced throttle.

@@jasonreid6167 Hi. It turned out it was the ERG, and the break sleeves. The sleeves were gunked up with a lot of grease. The ERG valve, I think there was air escaping, as they did some sort of gas leak test on it. The Volvo dealership sorted it, as I moved my car from another garage company to see if Volvo could solve it after after a good wee while waiting. .

@@NicholasMulvaney Hi, I ended up taking it to the Arnold Clark Dealership. I've been trying to find the paperwork to let you know what was replaced. I've had a few things done on it since then, but I'll try to look tomorrow. Sorry for delay in replying.

@@emktm3482 co do kopcenia na biało to nie podpowiem ,trzeba powąchać czy to jest para czy olej czy paliwo ,ale co do falowania obrotów to jest do sprawdzenia odpowietrzenie skrzyni korbowej, wąż pod kolektorem ssącym lubi pękać.
