I missed their Storyline Transitions for the announcement, started watching this episode and was thinking "Where's Pruitt?" And then saw this comment and started freaking out and scoured the internet making sure nothing had happened to him.

Aw man! Jim, I can feel how much you miss Pruitt! I miss him too. But, Jim, you are the like the beating core of the channel. Pruitt made it fun and light-hearted and accessible. But it was your knowledge, more often than not, that made the episodes worth watching. It was your experience and your passion for the more serious elements of this hobby that made me glad Pruitt's puns sucked me in. I guess what I'm trying to say, Jim, is that you mean as much to me, as a viewer, as Pruitt does. And as much as I miss him, that in no way detracts from how much I want to hear your opinion about things. Keep on being you, Jim, and I'll keep watching!

With the smooth jazz under his soft voice.... D&D and Chill has arrived. I appreciate how you made the choice to change the format and not try to keep doing the original thing. Your back and forth style wouldn't work without Pruitt's amazing energy. Max respect for the bold choice and I think this is a great direction to take Web DM. That being said, you won't hurt my feelings if Pruitt comes back and you revert...

Fizban's is so interesting to me. Some folks bloody hate it because they won't accept any new lore, but it seems like a genuinely great book that IMO was needed so badly for DnD!

hey Jim, great work. I really apreciated this one. You did well on what was essentially your first episode by yourself and although Pruitt's presence is greatly missed, you made it interesting and worth watching. Thanks for holding the fort until you guys are back together

Thanks for doing this, man. It really means a lot. Pruitt's leading questions - his way of summarizing a thought, you'll have, so poignantly, especially the overall respect you guys show each other and by proxy Us - it can't be replaced. I would even go as far as saying, it'd be an insult to go on here and act like it is. I really respect the acknowledgment of his hiatus and your unrivaled continued dedication. The whole cast and crew. And I get it, Pruit, mental health is serious and a sad catch-22 is no one will ever understand what the other is going through. I miss you, but I wouldn't want to have LOST you by you not taking the time away you need. I don't usually comment and this is kinda why - I start rambles. Thanks again, Jim and Pruitt. You've been the best DMs I've had, whether you knew it or not. Thank you to the Crew of Web DM, as well.

Ive been watching your channel for a few years now and have learned a ton! I like what you’re doing with this new format 👌 the ambience, background are all really good. A possible suggestion might be to have a question on screen to start off Jim’s discussion? Pruitt tended to open with a question. But keep up the great work!

Jim, you did a good job with handling a hard new situation (that of changing up your format) and you all are doing so to take care of someone's mental health which gets all the respect from me! keep on going and you'll find your groove again, or perhaps you'll find someone new to banter with which will have its own transition period... either way keep on keeping on!

Though Jim always provided the bulk of the conversation , Pruitt did such good job at keeping the conversation grounded and providing humor at the right points to keep the conversation fresh

I like the core of the new format, I know that when you find your groove and work out the initial bugs it'll be a great show, just like before. I do miss the back and forth, sort of question and answer format, and I'm sure you do as well, at least a bit, but I know there is a lot you can do with this!

I think this a great format for you going forward! You're as knowledgeable and thoughtful as always, and you can definitely carry conversations about this content on your own. My only suggestion is that you may want to play around with switching the lofi beats for fantasy beats. I love lofi but the fantasy tracks may fit better. Either way, the music is a great touch!

I know we don’t want to replace Pruitt, but honestly what made this show good was the back and forth, the entertainment value is lost a little bit with one person. Web dm was cool because you got two differing opinions on one subject, I hope you can do a series of guest hosts for other episodes

This new format is a good change. The previous conversation style videos were difficult to sit through for DMs looking for readily actionable information. There was too much banter and reminiscing of personal games. More DMs online probably want more insightful and direct content, like this video. I hope you see good results with the change. I was skeptical at first, but I can definitely get behind this format. Would be great if Pruitt jumps back in every now and again, but as long as he doesn't, I will be looking forward to more videos like this.
