Loving your content!!! It is amazing how much content is on KZfaq and none of them makes sense as your videos do. I'm often left confused or overwhelmed. Thank you. I have a request? Can you help me understand how to avoid having to put the same vst, multiple times in the channel rack; just to be able to use that same VST's different sounds in my patterns?

Thank you!! And I’ll do my best. Just to clarify so you mean something like Kontakt for example? How to play all the instruments when you load up multiple of them into the single Kontakt instance? Rather than having to load each instrument into a separate instance of Kontakt?

@@ScaleAudio yes! Something like that. My choice is REFX Nexus for right now but yes, same difference. I just have a feeling I don't need 5 nexus vsts and / or 5 omnispheres in my channel rack all the time lol.

@@prodbythabinsummerlin Well I don’t know much about omnisphere or nexus but in the case of Kontakt and a couple other VST’s that allow multiple instruments, you will want to use midi channels. First instrument would be channel one, second instrument would be channel 2, so on and so forth. If you don’t have a midi controller to be able to do that you can load midi outs instead of loading the plug-in again. You would assign the midi outs to a single port and assign your vst to input that port. Then you would just set the midi outs to separate channels.

After doing that each midi out will act like the next instrument without having to stress the cpu with a whole entire second, third, or fourth instance of that same plug-in.
