While you won't be sporting the hammer and sickle any time soon, a dead countries series would be useful for context. Notably, USSR, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia as examples given that their relationships with other countries were different from their modern successors.

Deva Rafael yes. Compared to other states we don't have a King but we do have a head of state, Yang di-Pertua Negeri (The Head of State) or as we Sarawakians call, the TYT (Tuan Yang Terutama, His Most Excellency in English).

The c at the end of Mackinac is not pronounced as a c but as a w so it’s pronounced as Mackinaw (which is actually the name of the city by Mackinac Island). It’s funny we use the pronunciation of Mackinac as a gauge of how “Michigan” someone is!

6:30 I’m also a 1/32 Romanov, since my maternal grandfather’s maternal grandmother was a daughter of Tsar Aleksandr II. By the time of The October Revolution, that particular branch of the family must have been already settled in Eastern Finland, where my grandfather was born, thereby slipping ”under the radar”, if you will. 👱🏻♂️❤️🇷🇺

Now it is a postcard from the International Day of Light IDL 2018 event that took place at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France and not only you thought I was from Germany you thought the event happened there ahahahah Btw, I am portuguese but I just travel too much for my own good :P

Thanks for mentioning the script! It's actually pronounced mwan-GWE-go. That's actually one of the primary reasons behind the invention of the script, to have a system that natively encodes a number of phonetic aspects that the Latin Alphabet cannot natively support.

Malaysian flag... We have song of that... Our flag were named as Jalur Gemilang (stripes of glory)... Tun Mahathir named it in 1997 during 40th Merdeka eve.... Red stand for people's bravery White stand for purity Blue stand for unity Yellow stand for the Kings in Malaysia 14 stripes stand for 13 states and Federal Territory 🌙 stand for Islam 14 point star stand for the states and Federal Territory

FYI, Mackinac is pronounced like Mackinaw 😂. A lot of places in Michigan have names that originated from Michigan Native Americans

Really like your videos, i think i have watched all countries up to now. But i have two negative points to stress: 1) The flag part ha been seriously downgraded lately, to the point of it being presented as trivial. 2) The fact that each time red color exists in a flag, the video goes in the whole "blood of those who died for their freedom" charade. I like the graphics and actually smiled the first couple of times, but it has gone to the point that it could be misunderstood as ridicule to those who actually did die for their freedom. I come from a country that does not have red in it's flag (Greece), but i feel it has started devolving into unconscious disrespect. On the other hand, i really like how your team has come together lately. I really like Ken, Keith, Noah and the rest of the guys, i think you have great chemistry. Stay strong and don't misunderstand my criticism, it comes from a place of interest and care for the show. P.S. Really sorry about your dad. My sincere, albeit belated, condolences.

Yo dog, I am a video guy....A good way to get an impromptu mic clip is to take the little plastic clip that connects a badge to a lanyard. The kind that uses a little clip is what you need. If you have any convention badges laying around, it's a 50/50 chance you have a backup mic clip.

For anyone wondering, the Russian-Hungarian guy being a descendant of the Romanovs is very much possible. There are around 10 male and many more female living members of the family. This guy can be a Romanov descendant through his maternal ancestors. Even if he is not, the Sheremetevs and the Romanovs share a common ancestor, so he would still be related to them in a way.
