Big Tip of the day: All of Flaming Espinas’s Melee weapons have both fire and poison. The poison amount is roughly 32 at base. Also flaming Espinas’s dual blades have both fire and poison on each blade. These new weapons are ludicrous and amazing. Almost forgot: Intrepid heart is like a one use per gauge rocksteady mantle from iceborne. The explosion it refers to is effectively a high part break damage 300 damage pop. Hello everyone just an update: Here’s the amount of poison on each individual weapon: Greatsword: 40, Longsword: 28, SnS: 32, Dual blades: 20(27 when in demon mode, it is on both blades), Hunting horn: 25, Hammer: 30, Lance: 24, Gunlance: 28, Switch axe: 28, Charge blade: 30, Insect glaive: 24

Uno. Big main point about espinas you forgot / dont know: when he is asleep, he is super armored. And the more mad he is, the hotter he became making his skin softer. So its not certain boby part isn't the weak spot, it's when is the body part a weak spot. Edit: this rule apply to all espinas and any of its subspecies and variation

the explosion in the cutscene honestly scared me for the entire fight

You should definitely get one of his weapons. They only say fire on them but they do inflict poison too. His scales are naturally hard and when he becomes enraged his blood gets so hot his scales become softer. Recommend seeing Rage Gaming's lore video on Espinas

Espinas has extremely tough hide when hes Sleeping and not enraged. Once he enrages blood flows around his body better wich softens his muscels. Thats why hes soft when hes enraged

All his melee weapons inflict poison on top of being fire, so they're better than meets the eye.

You can dodge the aerial nuke by running fast enough sideways then dodging at the right time. Also normally espinas' entire body is a bad hitzone safe for the legs, but when enraged the legs aren't as good while everything else is a lot better

this was a tough one at first, I carted twice and almost lost it. was gonna restart but cut the tail off so pushed though. stoked that we finally have layerd weapons!

the mobility with the dual blades is just insane. Also 12:41 LMAO that one really got me.

just so u know the armour cap level has gone up so make sure you upgrade your armour

This was a fun fight in all honesty. It's satisfying to fight him with the switch axe (at least for me). I can counter his little one-shot pretty consistently now after going at him for about an hour. Flaming Espinas is really cool. Also, something I recently found out about. Flaming Espinas weapons have a hidden poison status that they can inflict on monsters. The description of the weapon said it could but I didn't believe it at first until I tried it out for myself. So that makes his dual blades really crazy since usually there's a status on one blade and an element on another. His dual blades have fire element and poison on both blades! So, you could run fire attack with status trigger and foray to really get the most out of them.

The last update felt in the same level, this new monsters actually were a level up in difficulty, i really hope they keep that, also dont worry about upgrading everything, makes it more fun

16:35 You can wire bug up into the air and dodge around/use the horizontal air wiredash to move faster than running on the ground, been especially helpful on lots of recent monsters that have attacks that mainly hit the ground

Something not really shown, all of Flaming Espinas’s weapon’s do Fire AND Poison Damage!

I’m a hammer main and struggled with his speed. Getting far enough away from his one shots while having already been charging the hammer was hard. Failed the quest 3 times before finally getting him on the 4th

Fun fact you need purple sharpness to not have your attacks bounce of regular and flaming espinas.

so how did you like Flaming Espinas? he is one of my favourite monsters and subspecies. i got 3 Mantles from him from the probably 10 times i battled him. and his SnS' is a good Fire weapon. not as good as Silver Los' SnS, granted, but it's a Fire SnS i used more.

I got a trick for solo wake up with DB: plant mega barrel bombs then use Feline Fireworks.

Even with an element upgrade, Flaming Espinas still dies to Cluster spam
