Flash floods damage hundreds of hectares of paddy fields in Zhavame in Phek district Nagaland
Kohima, July 2: Flash floods hit Zhavame village in Phek district on July 1 damaging hundreds of hectares of paddy fields. In a telephonic discussion, the village council of the village informed that the flash floods were caused by incessant rain in the areas.
He sought an immediate survey of the damages and relief from the state government.
The NSDMA, Home Dept, Govt. of Nagaland has issued an alert that; due to the incessant rain, there is an anticipation of landslides, flash floods, damage to roads, public infrastructure, agriculture crops etc. Therefore, citizens are advised to stay alert and exercise caution. Issued in the interest of Public safety.
