This is a very fun chase scene. It doesn’t reach the levels of T2, but it’s cool, creative and most of the destruction was shot on set. In fact, the film ran out of money around the filming of this particular scene but Arnold Schwarzenegger liked it so much that he paid with his money to bring this to reality

If you let a kid watch this chase scene of T3 first then go watch T2's chase scene, most of the time, they will say T3's is better and T2's sucks.

T3 obviously does not compare to T2, but in terms of sheer action, I believe this scene is the greatest action set piece in the whole franchise (minus the CGI truck at the end).

I always had trouble suspending disbelief with the T-X remote controlling those vehicles....

Yeah it's completely illogical. Vehicles from that era do not have any electromechanical link between steering wheel and ECU, so no way she could steer that remotely. That's just one detail out of many.

Not to mention… even though she gained control of those vehicles, there’s no explanation as to how the pedals, the steering wheel and the gear shifter are moving on their own.

They explained it in the movie, the TX has "nanotechnological transjectors" which give it the capability to control other machines, so it's more physical control rather than electronic. Still, I highly doubt the amount of nanomachines it injected is enough to move the mechanical controls of a car considering its size and the number of machines it controlled. But then again this is a movie and we don't really know...

Oh yeah, Cars in 2003 had computers that controlled the steering, the gas pedal, brakes and gearbox. There are totally robots that can control that in case the driver is missing or smth specially in an era where automatic cars aren't so popular.

I'm actually kind of glad they didn't do that in all honesty. I liked that they focused more on what she had in terms of weapons rather than focusing on shapeshifting like the T1000 did.

She didn't gave as much Mimetix Polyalloy liquid Rev-9 had. It only blanketed the outside of her endoskeleton. REV-9 had enough liquid to fill his endoskeleton and the outside of it.

When this movie came out, ppl bombed it because it was seen as inferior to T2. This cycle has been happening when each sequel of Terminator was released. I wonder if there will be a day when we say Dark Fate is not so bad after all. Then, we are really screwed.
