Fun Fact: After the first few years of the Original Xbox's release (before 360), that console became very popular due to the modding that was happening on the console. Its security was busted wide open not too long after its intital release, and a few years later it became one of the very first all-in-one consoles with players not only expanding game playability through emulators, but also developing programs such as XBMC and other media players to play videos, music and movies (the latter to avoid paying extra for the DVD dongle). Unfortunately, these things (minus emulators which came later also through modding) were available out-of-the-box with a PlayStation 2, which is the reason it sold so many units.

My only criticism with this remaster of this video is that your voice sounds less enthusiastic and there are very weird audio balancing issues occasionally, which made it feel tedious to watch compared to the last, but I like the new additions, so good work nonetheless.

I think the point of remastering the videos is to have them be more organized in general, but I definitely see what you mean, although the slight lack of enthusiam doesn't irk me as the video itself is still very entertaining.

One thing that wasn’t mentioned in the video that most people didn’t know about the 360. Some 360’s originally was released with a competition to BluRay called HD DvD Player and came with its own Xbox themed universal type remote

Always a good job, love the animation and narration The Xbox Series are so good, for the first time since the sixth generation of consoles (where I was a kid and didn't had a choice on my console), the Xbox is my main console, leaving the PS5 only for exclusives

Just found your channel, very interesting, I enjoy the amount of research and work you put into giving the info. You probably have received a bunch of comments about it, but the only mistake I found that you didn't correct, was you showed footage of Halo 2 and labeled it Halo Combat evolved. Fun fact: Did you know that the xbox dashboard has some pretty creepy sounds when the user is talking to long and leaving it on the home screen but those are from nasa Domain audio and the thing that i don’t know. :) But those sounds are from space!

Back in 2009, my dad's friend's family had an Xbox 360 that I saw for the first time and they introduced me to the Halo series. I thought it was a cool console and I thought it was the first Xbox console ever because I hadn't heard of the OG Xbox until only 4 years ago. Then in October of 2014, my new neighbors introduced me to the Forza Horizon series and the Xbox One. I was immediately hooked! I asked my mom if I could have an Xbox One. She said that I could have one if I paid for half of the price, and I agreed. Within 3 months, I saved up enough money to pay for half the Xbox One's price. Then on Christmas, I got my Xbox One. I have a lot of good memories with the console. I still have it and use it a lot to this day. I recently got myself a couple of OG Xbox consoles. I'm going to fix them up and keep them. I plan to buy myself a Series X soon. Xbox player for life!

4:48 i disagree. I actually loved the Duke and preferred it over the smaller S-version that came afterward. I can understand how people with smaller hands were unhappy with it. I would rather say the majority disliked it but definitely not everyone.

the xbox one s can run games in 4k 60fps and 1080p 120fps but the games are very limited they have to be light

Fun Fact: The X-Box One actually sold 60m consoles instead of 47m consoles. The PS4 sold double of the X-Box One with 120m units. Also Microsoft already officially bought Activison | Blizzard for $69B USD.

The first one can play split-screen campaign co-op and 4 player multiplayer all on its own for Halo 1 and 2. The Series X cannot split its screen for Halo. But in reality, 343 is just incompetent.

I’m still playing the original Xbox and still have it under my tv. I have a series s too but there r loads of great games on the original Xbox - and it’s so large it feels like an old vcr

My family already had a Wii; but X Box 360 was our 1st non-Nintendo console I bought. I have only a few gripes with X Box as a whole: 1- Since I mostly play retro games, it took me years to learn I prefer my D-Pads parallel to face buttons; and it's a pain how there's next-to-no 3rd party X Box controllers like it. 2- 3D platformers ala Super Mario 64 are why I'm a gamer in the 1st place. But the market is flooded past its nose in 1st-person games and shooters. Rumors of a Banjo Kazooie comeback is the last thread holding me to X Box. Besides Nintendo and indie devs, few are feeding us in the 2 decade 3D platformers famine.

One day before my bday they discontinued Xbox live. Apparently my dad was so mad that when my mom was about to have me he yelled “why does everything bad happen to me now??” 😂😂 Oh and all hail sea of thieves (best game I’ve ever played)

The 360 wasn't overheating, the change to lead free solder was less resistant to heat and was causing it to melt and then a certain chip would lose connection to the Board and Bingo RRoD.

12:41 It's crazy how this was misinterpreted about the DRM thing and thing is it was actually a decent idea cause I remember putting in Titanfall 1 and the next day I realized I was playing Titanfall and the disc wasn't even in it. This was how Larry Hryb described in from the power on documentary. "We knew the digital age and era was coming we knew it, the original concept was you are going to have to be connected to play your games, you're gonna play your games on your Xbox one here's a disc load it in and you're gonna have to get a license for that disc but you had to be online to buy the license so it's a great way to not have people do big downloads but here's the disc and just pass it around that's it simple as that well that wasn't clear" - Larry Hryb

That's not correct because the xbox 360 is not release in 2001 The xbox 360 was release in 2005
