Flight Training - Is there a recommended or correct camera angle?

Having explored how flight dynamics change for different camera angles is there a preferred or correct camera angle to run in order to be considered a professional racer/ freestyler?
Should you be aiming to fly at a particular angle?
Beware there is a lot of talking rather than demonstration in this video but this one clears the way for moving on to other areas of flight without having to continually discuss what angle the camera is currently using.

I would like to learn freestyle but I don't know where to start. Should I learn how to race first or jump directly into it? Could you do an introduction to freestyle? I'm loving this series!!

Giulio Berti My recomandation for you is just to fly around in the lanscape and learn to do coordinated turns.

Freestyle starts with just flying around an open scenery like countryside and flying in and out and over trees. Once you have the basics of doing that then you can start to explore what would be described as 'set pieces' or particular flight maneuvers that someone would recognise as a particular named aerobatic stunt

Another great video! Still having trouble flying close to the ground with higher angles. I'm always afraid of clipping the ground with the front end of the quad. But it does make flips a whole lot easier. The simulator is a lifesaver though, since I'm not damaging my real quads. Would love to see a matty flip and upside down flying video. I won't be trying either anytime soon with my quads...lol, but I still would need an instructional video before trying in the simulator. :)

I disagree entirely. What you are doing here is prescribing that your style of freestyle is how everyone should do it - which is exactly what this video warns against. Freestyle is meant to be an expression of the pilot and their own unique style, not a cookie cutter everyone do the same thing.

@@DawnHub666 Agreed, except for the Matty flips, this is where I have to disagree with some of what Ash says in this video. I do powerloops and mattyflips at 25-30° just fine, it is just a matter of good judgment and control, and then they become second nature. And you will find many of the popular freestylers do the same or even less angle. Sure a higher angle makes Mattys easier, but I have no problem with them and the tradeoffs from high angle are not worth it for me or many others. Plus the footage & tricks look better from the low angle. High angle seems to be predominately a racing mindset; with exceptions, of course.
