One of the first mixes that should be set up on your computer radio is the knife mix. This mix helps the pilot deal with roll and pitch changes that result from rudder inputs.
Back in 2018, we did a video talking about knife-edge mixing, it's importance, and how we set it up. Unfortunately, we didn't get the best shot of the actual programming on the radio. We actually got a request for an update from WAM 74 and because of this, we decided to shoot an update that focuses on radio programming in our DX-20 radio.

Thank you for the help. So far I've tried the mixing but I was futzing around so much at the field trying to dial it in that I found it easier just to use the sticks to compensate. But I will keep trying. Because flying the RF Evo is so perfect that it would be nice to get my real planes closer to the sim.

Thank you for the feedback. It definitely takes some time to work through the programming. Once you have done it a couple times, it gets much faster and we feel it is worth the effort.

Nice vid, Any video on recommended gyro, system stabilization and how to setup?

We have never used a Gyro system in a 3D plane. We know they are becoming more and more popular though so maybe we will look into doing something on this in the future.

That is a neat trick. I would never have known. Are your percentages good for most planes?

All planes are going to be different. Most aerobatic planes will be within 10% of each other in our experience.

if this mix is on all the time, then every time i use my rudder this will also move my ailerons and elevator? so if i am taxiing out on the runway, or doing other maneuvers it will always move all controls? wouldn't that mess up other maneuvers? e.g. a stall turn. i am new to using mixes Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback. Yes. We run the mix full time. The movements are very small so they will not affect other maneuvers. This is especially true in a full stall maneuver such as the stall turn. We are sure you will agree if you give it a shot.
