In 2014, the city of Flint, Michigan switched the source of the water supply to save money. Immediately, there were complaints about the taste and the smell, and it was later confirmed to contain dangerously high levels of lead. It’s been five years, and despite recovery efforts that include updates to the city’s pipes, residents still have no trust in the safety of the water.
