Ever so vaguely reminds me of the computer game Concrete Jungle, which also has lovable city art and building. The flip mechanic seems neat...I guess...but awkward. Can't sleeve them, have to remember which side is up, can't see the last few shuffles

You'd just need to use transparent sleeves.

I just played this tonight. Thank you for the instructional video, it helped us get up to speed with the game quickly. One correction: In the video you say that after the player hands are created, the remainder of the cards are used as the supply. In the current printing of the rules, the supply stacks are limited in size with any unused cards put back in the box.

The press your luck aspect/losing your cards to 3 frown faces reminds me a bit of Dead Man's Draw. :) In DMD you lose all your gained cards if you draw two of the same suit. Design city looks like fun. We have Machi Korro but it's lost it's shine for us, even with the Harbour expansion.

Do benefits stack, on general? If I play two Central Parks in a turn, can I buy 2 times in addition to my buy action?

just bought the game for solo play. i know I have to discard a card from the supply deck every time I choose to reshuffle when i run out of cards. my question is do I have to reshuffle my deck when I choose to end the Play Cards step when there are still cards left in it? and if so do I then have to discard a supply card in that situation also?

when you have that card which allows you to buy additional building, can you use your action to flip a card and at the same time use this effect to buy a building, or can you use it only when you chose build action at as that turn's action?

benediktcz Nope. It means you'll have to use the action to Buy, if you want to gain the benefit of an additional buy.

If you have multiple office cards in your discard pile and it's time to shuffle, do you have multiple options? In other words, if you have 2 office cards, can you put one aside for the top after shuffling and one to shuffle? Or can you put both at top? Or put both in to shuffle?

You can choose what you want to do with each one.

Timing question: is it possible to recycle a Church just after you revealed a Residential Area on top of your deck in order to avoid busting?

After shuffling with offices, are you allowed to look at the top card, and then put the offices on top?

I'm not sure what the official rule would be for this, but personally, I'd keep in a secret.

also, i didnt noticed it in the video, you can at any time look on the other side of the card to see whats there, right?

benediktcz Yes, but the rule book also has a page that shows both sides. Or you could look at the cards in the general supply (to ensure you don''t accidentally flip over one of the cards in your deck).

When can you trigger the "blue" ability of the Apartment and give a residential area to another player? Is it when the card is played (probably not) or only at the end of your turn? I would assume that you have to choose to stop before you bust in order to use this ability.

Daniel Merrill Notice the symbol beside the effect matches the "FLIP" purple arrow, which means you do this when you use your Building Phase action to flip this card. Hope that helps!

MARK FERGUSON Sorry, yes, I did a tutorial video for Flip City. At the time, the other games didn’t exist yet. I haven’t played those other titles to be able to answer your question.

MARK FERGUSON flip city wilderness is a stand alone and you can play it with the base. Reuse is juste 2 more building
