Patrick, I'd be happy to chat with you by email. My email is todlloyd9@gmail.com . The rapids lie between Douglas Creek and the Cutler River, with most of them before Atongurak Creek. Additionally there is a brief section at the beginning of the Noatak Canyon where the river turns left at a high bluff. There's a rapid there with a recirculating eddy that I wouldn't like to get caught up in. You can look at more video I shot if you look at the raw GoPro feeds for 7/31/19 and 8/01 - 8/02/19 further down in my KZfaq channel. The rapids are very river level dependent. I've been down that section of the river twice, and the rapids were really unrecognizable from one year to the next. I didn't see the Cave Rock ledge the first time, nor did I ever see what's called Jaws. But it's important to note that all the rapids are class 2+ at best. Nothing more than that. Pete, these are inflatable canoes by Innova. They are the Baraka model, 13 1/2 feet long. We purchased them in 2019 and have used them twice on the Noatak. This trip, and the one two years later, both began in late july and finished, one 25 days later, the other 22 days later in mid August.You can't predict the weather, but the salmon run during that time and they're fun to catch and eat. Tod
