FLOOD DISASTER GERMANY River Hunte from Barnstorf to Wildeshausen 2023 | District Diepholz

Due to persistent rain and melting snow, the north of Germany in particular is affected by severe flooding. The Hunte is a river that rises from the Wiehenhills and flows via the Lake Dümmer, through the towns Diepholz, Barnstorf, Wildeshausen to Oldenburg.
This video documents the ongoing flood situation in the Winter 2023 / more accurate on the 26th of December.
Hundreds of emergency workers from the fire department and THW are on duty to help people, reinforce dunes and dams and bring the river back to its bed.

But you are fully right. This river is in a very good condition surrounded by a lot of flood lands and plains that could take the water. Nevertheless there are lots of farmers and as well animals that are heavily affected.

Thanks for your feedback. Honestly I do this from time to time as my real hobby is flying instead of teaching. You might find some castles and monasteries I flew in the last year. Unfortunately, if you compare the click rates, those videos have bad amounts of views and watch time. It's a pity!@@whotshisface

Ich grüße Dich, ja da ist schon was los, mit dem Hochwasser. Leider war ich nicht mit der Drohne unterwegs. Da gab es sicher viel zu sehen, von Oben. Von Oben sieht man halt alles etwas anders. Gut gezeigt und gut geflogen. Die Aufnahmen sind nur etwas dunkel, hattest Du einen ND-Filter vor? Was sind das für komische Namen, die Du da einblendest? Da habe ich noch nie von gehört. Der Daumen hoch Nr. 116 ist von mir. Gruß Rainer

Tatsächlich habe ich keinerlei Filter vor der Kamera gehabt. Ich war am Nachmittag unterwegs, die Sonne also schon auf dem Weg zum Horizont bei dichter und geschlossener Wolkendecke. Dazu kam, (kann man nicht sehen) leichter Nieselregen. All das beeinträchtigt natürlich die Bilder generell. Die Namen, die ich einblende sind die Orte, die überflogen wurden: Verschiedene Wehre und Kleinstädte. Ist in den Untertiteln auch auf Deutsch verfügbar. Ist schon sehr bedrückend. War heute an der Weser, das ist wahrlich dramatisch. 😲

Most of the ppl are okay. The reason for that is, the river shown in the video is quite healthy. It has massive land and plains around to cover the flood. However some ppl do have issue as they lost there habits in the flood.

Ist aber nicht ungewöhnlich . Vor Allem bei der "goldenen Brücke" sieht man dass die Straße nicht ohne Grund so hoch gebaut wurde.

Der Huntelauf ist rundum gesund und das kann man am aktuellen Hochwasser sehen. Dennoch gibt es Engpässe, wie beispielsweise in Barnstorf. Und unabhängig der mitunter guten Bauweisen bestimmter Infrastruktur, stehen zahlreiche Gehöfte und Häuser unter Wasser.

Komme aus Barnstorf...im Ort merkt man fasst nichts...Hauptsächlich Landwirtschaftliche Flächen betroffen🤷‍♂️

War gerade vor Ort und hab mit den Einsatzkräften gesprochen. Die haben wirklich großes geleistet und tun das immernoch. Die B51 Brücke war einige Zeit gesperrt und die Angst groß, dass das Wasser die unter der Brücke verlaufenden Kabel und Rohre erreicht. Ich hoffe, dass die Hunte den Höchststand erreicht hat und nicht weiter anwächst, ansonsten könnte es unglücklicher für Harpstedt werden.

Es ist wirklich erdrückend für die Leute, die Nahe der Flüsse leben. Die Hunte hat glücklicherweise zahlreiche unbebauten Feuchtwiesen, auf die sie teilweise ausweichen kann.

In Barnstorf geht es zum Glück noch. Nur einige wenige mussten aus Sicherheitsgründen evakuiert werden, die B51 war zwischenzeitlich komplett gesperrt da das Hochwasser die Huntebrücke gefährdet hat, aber sonst ist hier soweit nichts wirklich passiert
