Changing the config files to find more characters in MUGEN always feels like getting loose change under the couch cushions, it's a magical experience.

@@taekwoncrawfish9418 It's been a while since I've played MUGEN, but I believe you should have a "data" or "mugen1" folder in your main MUGEN folder. Within "data" or "mugen1", there should be a file called "system.def", and if you edit "system.def" using a program like Notepad or something that can edit text or code, there should be a few lines of code under ";Character select definition" that you can edit numerical values for in order to change the character select screen size or position in order to better see the characters you have. One example is the rows/columns. If you set "rows = 20" you get 20 rows of characters and if you type 10 after "columns" you get 10 columns, making a 20 x 10 grid of characters on your character select screen. You can also change the cell size by altering "cell.size"'s number values, like making "cell.size = 20,20", making the x and y sizes of the character icons on the screen bigger or larger so that you can make it fit better. Granted, I'm no expert in MUGEN, I just fiddled with the character select values in system.def for a while until I could see all the characters I had installed. If none of this makes sense, I recommend searching up "how to change character select screen MUGEN" or something to get better guides and advice from people more experienced than MUGEN than me. Hope this helps.

K.F. Girl is a MUGEN OC by the way. She's supposed to be "The Waifu Version" of Kung Fu Man, basically. As for her sprites... Ermm.... shrug. They might be original, I don't recognize 'em.

It's a mishmash of various _King of Fighters_ sprites. The schoolgirl outfit is taken from Athena Asamiya. Her battle sprites are modified from Kim Kaphwan. And her stretchy arm is literally Ryuji Yamazaki's signature special move.

The Doomguy sprite where he's on the ground is egregious cause there is a death sprite for Doomguy in Doom 1 and 2 they could've used. EDIT: Wait but then they use the sprite later? But he's too big and they only use the part where he's on his knees?

You know, when I was looking at the roster, I saw a familiar image and thought "Oh no, is that El Chavo del 8?" And then I saw the roster also had Luis Miguel (a famous singer in Mexico), and then you chose El Chavo, and when you played as him and everyone disappear, I thought "Wow, he did mean 'Romper todo lo que se llama cara' (break everything that is your face) when he said it". To me, that was peak. Also, even Bret Hart gets depair from Sephiroth

KF girl is Kung Fu Girl Kung Fu Man is the one character that comes with base Mugen People made a Kung Fu Girl, and there are a whole bunch of edits from her Based on the sound effects she has, the version in MK New Era is probably a KOF version of her The reason she doesn't have a pause is because the start button in Mugen is normally used for a taunt

Im going to say it: Kung fu girl is basically Gwenpool and I want to see them fight for real. -Both are based of an existing hero -Despite being wackier than them -Have the exaggerated swagger of a mary sue (That makes them fun)

as soon as I saw the upload, I knew it's gonna be instant classic 😂🔥 btw, there are debug keys to deal with broken stuff - F1 KOs player 2, Ctrl+F1 KOs player 1, F2 and Ctrl+F2 drain health to last point for players 2&1 respectively, and F4 restarts the round (if they don't work, need to enable them in mugen.cfg in /data folder)

I think there are at least two versions of New Era going around; the version closer to the earlier playthroughs and this chaotic version with more characters than there's space on the screen. I've seen what looks like newer, 2022 versions of the more "normal" one. Chaos Edition is the more fun one to watch, obviously.

The reason for the Naruto messing up the tower thing, not having fatalities, and messing up he fatality time for other characters is because he's just a regular MUGEN character as opposed to being a MKP character. MKP is short for Mortal Kombat Project BTW.

that Boob Saibot ending text crawl felt a lot like a younger person trying to make an "edgy epic cool" character description and then included cool sounding words that dont make sense in the context, and then ending with what feels like a complete misunderstanding of that phrase. alternatively it could be a non-english speaker put that all together with an understanding of "enough words" or its a shitpost ending. im not sure what to think when ive been around the internet long enough that all 3 are possibilities i can consider...🤔

Story time: Years ago, when I was younger and dumber, I "made" a Mugen MK character. And with "made", I mean I took Scorpion, changed his palette into a green skinned Ermac, changed his name into "Soul" and called it a day. Nowadays, I hate this ghost of my past even more than Hsu Hao. And one day I'm going to remake Soul into a meme character, and I hope someone will download and play as him.

I don't know if someone already told you this, but using F1, F2 ,F3 ,F4 ,etc. can help you lowering your healthbar or the enemy's, time up faster or just restart the round. Hope it helps!

If I remember correctly, the reason why there are so many El Chavo characters is that someone else at some point made an El Chavo fighting game called Street Chavo, and all of the characters in the MK MUGEN games are character ports from said game

@@enriquejoseantequerasanche6180 nice. though, as i said in my original comment, i wanted to do something more like BlazBlue, while keeping the finishers the MK series is known for by relocating them to the Astral Heat mechanic.
