I got plenty of customers running them with 500k-800k miles running day and night. They're excellent workhorses so long as you treat them like a trophy wife.

My husband recently sold his 2012 Earthroamer XV LTSS, fast and above asking price. The market is insane atm! We on the market for a new experiences. Expedition vehicles are at a premium right now, so it will be fun to see what is next. Earthroamers are expensive, but if you want an expedition vehicle that is true luxury, there is nothing like it! Worth every dollar. It was like we were never leaving our Kerrisdale Vancouver home, when we went on adventures in it in the Earthroamer! We don't want another Earthroamer, but we are buying another expedition vehicle! Awesome build, guys!❤🤗

I know very little about vehicles, just so hard to find a brand to go for when you read dodge/ford/chevy have issues with faulty parts, engines, transmissions etc. (whatever their poison is). I've seen fords from the 80s that are still running today on my Grandpa's farm, yet have heard of newer ones that died due to various reasons. Hard to tell what to go for anymore.

GOOD JOB !!! Really thrilled with our video, the two of you are amazing! Love your dog too! Good job with the editing but most of all the build of your RV is remarkable. I have had a lot of experience in building things in my 60 years on this planet and I have to say, what you have done is quite remarkable. The walk through your rig was a real treat and I was amazed with the detail of your design. The storage and the practical design of the unit as a truly functional liveaboard was fantastic. I have watched a ton videos of big money A class etc. units available on the market in the high 6 figures and you haven't missed the mark. It's too bad that we can't get a vehicle that gets better mileage, but this is the crap that has been given to us from the big manufacturers. This will change as the world wakes up to its true spiritual potential and people start living for the betterment of all rather than self centered greed and bowing to big oil. I enjoyed your video, thank you for sharing your ideas and creative dream with us.

I even have my office space and desk in my garage where I can keep the door open and windows open and enjoy the outdoors (I work from home mostly and live in the woods with access to an amazing lake). I just cant fully commit to the small space of an RV but I find that having a designated home, an RV, and a decent family boat is the best combination for me.

@@user-un8dr7kz2w Starbucks in US is like 3 times local coffee shop. There in Indo it goes from 10 or 20 times the local shop price. US price aren't by any mean cheap, but quite reasonable since you can order crazy stuff with 10 mix of ingredients from a choice of many. But here in developing country, they go as a Luxury Brand that priced even more expensive from US. For example tall latte is $2.75 in US but in Indonesia which is 2nd most expensive Starbucks price in the world, a whopping $8.21 Now of course the monthly earning is different. $1k monthly is considered low earnings in US. While in Indonesia, $600 monthly earning is upper middle income...

That's a high quality build! But it's made me realise that a lot of the Earth Roamer's huge price is for the mechanical quality. The adjustable beefed up suspension, the adjustable tire pressure system, all the pulleys and wiring, the upgraded engine to accommodate the massive weight increase... It'd be a shame if you bent the frame or blew the engine or gearbox after spending so much already. Amazing build all the same!

For the most part Earthroamer doesn't make any mechanical changes. They don't want to void the warranty so that the customer can go to a dealership for maintenance if they want. That's why they choose bigger platforms from the start so that they can keep almost everything stock.

Really great design, and I like that you use a shorter cab for a two person rig - better off road capability in a shorter wheelbase. Everything about the design is well laid out and you seem to have the right balance of storage and open space.

Many of the products used in the building of your camper are very interesting. It would have been nice to include links to these products. I had to rewind the video several times on different occasions to get the name of a product then I had to search for it by name, not always finding what I was looking for.... just an FYI. Great video!

I’m sorry but this video feels way more like a professionally produced advertising piece than something real. The cost of this build would have to be much, much more expensive than they claimed - just add up the cost of all the very expensive, high-end components. Also, the product placement is insane - notice how many BIG companies got their products perfectly placed in the video. Production and film values are very high - and sophisticated. The editing is so good you don’t notice it. This whole video just feels too perfect to be true. Discuss and confirm or disabuse me from this notion.

He says at the beginning that the truck was 10k and the box was 50k. I don’t think that 50k includes the cost of the appliances and infrastructure stuff, just the cost to make the box, insulate it and make the furniture inside it. Neither does the 10k for the truck include the modifications such as the tires, suspension, bumpers, and whatever he did to the engine. I wouldn’t be surprised if the finished product was another 40k on top of the 60k he mentioned. That’s still 1/6 of the price of an Earthroamer.

I often wonder where people in their early 20’s get $60k and so much free time to throw into something like this, and then have the capital to continue living that lifestyle.

@@giantkylec What a great answer to Tyler's original question you've provided, what a piece of work you are. Not sure Tyler I think it depends on the center of gravity and exactly how much excessive weight there is above that, but I have to agree it's not something I would want to put to much lateral motion or side incline to find out...

Most all the earth roamer type trucks look top-heavy but they are driven all over the world on dirt, sand, and gravel roads, but as Kyle succinctly put it, not necessarily off-road. They have large, low-slung fuel and water tanks which helps.
@theTylerMorale
@theTylerMorale 3 жыл бұрын
@@RustyCas999 ah so I guess it would be mostly a tactful way of driving. So still going off paved roads but not getting in extremely rugged terrains. That makes sense. Yeah this is definitely a very cool build! I wasn’t trying to dog on it. Mostly just curious. I personally think I’d prefer a lower center of gravity but I understand now how to be conscious of what your setup is and how to travel.
