This is more than a ban, it would criminalize the making and selling of cultivated meat 🚫🥩
🍊Florida's legislation passed this bill likely to protect the cattle ranchers and traditional meat industry that are dominant in their state 🐄
Although the ban doesn't reflect any safety concerns, in the minds of many average consumers this will be the effect (and was probably intended to do just that)! 💭

✅ What's cultivated meat? This is real meat that's grown in a bioreactor until there's enough muscle cells to create a cut of meat or food product. The initial cells are taken from an animal (like a biopsy) and then grow and multiply in a bioreactor.
✅ Are there other names for cultivated meat? You might also hear it be called cultured meat, lab-grown meat, or cell-based meat.
❌ Is cultivated-meat Frankenfood? No, it's simply a different way to grow meat for us to eat.
