Me too!! It's one of the saddest parts of school ending!😢 I will say, the romance itself wasn't my favorite of the Emily Henry's, but the friend group made up for it!

Mystery SALs always make me anxious, I was loving everything for Dark Queen until the face reveal. it’s grown on me since the initial reveal, it just really wasn’t what I was expecting. I still started it for my birthday because I do love the rest of it

No hard feelings on UFO'ing a project - there are so many projects to choose from, why be unhappy stitching one? (I feel the same way about books - I'm a big fan of the DNF!) I have "Hart & Mercy" on my shelf and wasn't sure if I was going to read it or not, but after your review, I think it might be next on my list. I would be happy to adopt your queen ufo! My friend is stitching it and she talked about cross charting it with only the "queen of the sea's" face and will use the green or teal colorway for the hair instead of the red... i think it may come out beautiful

It’s ok not to want to stitch a certain pattern. I ended up getting rid of 2. I felt bad about it, because I was almost half way done. But I’m over it! On to ones I really want to stitch! I can’t wait to see your quilt! The picture of it looks so pretty! Can’t wait for your next video! Take care

I agree with you on the face design of the Dark Q of the Earth, I wasn't a fan of the reveal. No harm in dropping something that you're not interested in anymore. BTW, you're hair is super cute in this video! I love the Manning design you picked! I haven't had a chance to start mine yet, but I will soon!

Omg Brijin, I just started the Dark Queen of the Earth, I love that alternate face! I would have totally taken this off your hands but I just put my first 2600 stitches in this weekend. I see some others are interested in adopting her so that’s good to hear. Working on my Greenhouse of Oddities SAL as I’m watching this video, I’m at 70%.

I have figured out how to scan and upload paper charts, specifically Mirabilia/Nora Corbett charts, to Mark-up. It works well enough for me!

That's unfortunate about the queen SAL, but I totally get it. I'm always so hesitant about mystery SALs, even from designers I love, like Autumn Lane Stitchery. But I actually do love how this one looks so far. The face I think has like...otherworldly vibes, like she's made out of crystal or rock or something. Idk, it's kind of weird, but is also pretty cool. Regardless though, good for you for setting boundaries and not forcing yourself to stitch on something you're not enjoying. I wish I could do that with some gifts I've already committed to...😂 I also totally agree about the YA books! Sometimes they just seem lacking.

The eras quilt is everything!! Nice to finally see a Rep block! I was wondering when you showed your plans for this how long it was going to take before she played a song from that album! I’ve been live steaming her shows every weekend to relive the high from the Arlington show I still haven’t come down from. I also took advantage of your coupon code and ordered some floss drops and I’m obsessed! I was wondering though how you store them once your project is finished? Do you leave the floss on them? Hang them up somewhere? Not sure how I want to go about storing these things once they have floss on them and I’m not using them. ❤

I nearly rolled out of bed, I was so excited when she played Gorgeous! Oh as far as storage, I have a big ziploc bag where I keep all of my floss drop supplies! So I put all my extra hearts and thread drops of various brands on binder rings in the bag, along with some sharpies, scissors, labels, thread winders, all those kinds of things! So then when I'm kitting or de-kitting everything I need to floss drop my floss is in one place! I don't usually store floss on my thread hearts long term, because I put my DMC in a bobbin box, but my plan is to flip over to the atom heart thread bobbins in my bobbin box eventually! Then I'll just use the hearts for fancy floss, and put the fancy floss back on the manufacturers card after!

Which bags, I tend to make a lot of different kinds!😂 If you're looking for a good basic project bag, I highly recommend Elizabeth ann can stitch's tutorials. I use different sizes than hers, but the basic construction is similar!

Omg it did! I've been considering it for like 3 months, and just never did it! It's hard when you've sunk several thousand stitches into something! But it definitely felt freeing afterwards!

So Caraval - yes, I also feel like I have “outgrown” YA Fantasy but this series especially is so overhyped. I read all three because I’m a completionist and they don’t get any better. It was really hard to pinpoint exactly what wasn’t working because the premise is pretty cool and the characters are reasonably well-developed. It’s really not worth continuing the series if you’re not feeling it - except that they’re pretty quick and easy reads! I have been hesitant to give her new series a try (even though I’ve seen positive reviews) because I found this to be so meh.

Hello since you guys are doing the the Vanity Sampler i was wondering if you can answer my question the second butterfly/moth on the right is it supposed to have a different color for the bottom right of its wing???

Holy cow! I'm impressed you were able to notice that from the tiny image! It is supposed to be different; I just swapped out the colors, I didn't make any changes to the chart!

I just noticed cuz that lil part was blue and the other butterfly didnt have the same but i totally changed the color pallet for this

I don't blame you at all for abandoning your WIP, that's exactly why I don't enjoy mystery SAL's. She was looking beautiful but I don't like her face at all.
