Hi Debra! I just found you on flosstube and somehow knew what you were going to say when you talked about being absent for 6 months and getting the elephant out of the room. I just lost my husband on Jan. 2 and I am left here with my cat, Tiger, and Bennie, my dog, and my stitching and flosstube. I feel so blessed to have my stitching friends on flosstube and my cross stitch to keep my sanity. I agree with you in that I can’t just stop life and I am determined to press on and try to find things to love and enjoy each day!! Your WIPs are just beautiful!!!

Just found your channel. Late BUT I’m so sorry about your husband. My first husband died 25 years ago this coming October. He was only 38. His passing out of this world and my life still hurts and makes me cry even though I “moved on” with a new husband and children. His life was a blessing to me. I hope you are well!

I am so sorry for your loss. I am very happy to see you back. I too am stitching McChristmas. The beard has been the biggest challenge for me too, but I love the pattern. I also have the calendar and if I had thought of it in time, it would have been great for stitch mania. Maybe next year. Your stitching is incredible and as I have started Sparkling Peacocks as my first Chatelaine, I look forward to watching your progress. I am looking forward to your next video. Take care.

Also just wanted to say again how sorry I was to hear about your husband. I can’t imagine how tough it’s been - but we are all thinking of you! ❤️.

I just happened upon your podcast and cannot tell you how extremely sorry I am for your loss. The day before yesterday they had to take my husband to the hospital by ambulance. I praise God for all of His blessings because I have him home now. We have many more tests to go through and one or two surgeries. I will definitely be praying for you. I am a knitter but have just recently returned to counted cross stitch. The joy and fun of it returned immediately and I’ve learned the “railroad” stitch. Never knew that before. Rest easy and I look forward to your next video. Shalom....Beverly

Oh Debra, I can’t imagine your pain. After 38 years with Mark I often reflect on that very thing. What a great testimony you have my friend. I have not watched much flosstube so I am sorry I did not know. You are one to be looked up to. I don’t know that I would be as composed as you are my dear. I thank God for our fur babies and hobby activities to help us through the awful time. 💗🙏🙏💗Patty Quigley

I love your McChristmas .. he is adorable and what beautiful stitching you do. It takes time and a lot of healing to go through all you have so I am sending prayers your way to comfort you if you don't mind. My brother died in January and I know how hard it is especially for his wife. Keep your chin up dear and know that people around you care. I have to say I admire you for doing the Sleeping Beauty's Castle. You must have a world of patience because it looks hard to do. I have never tried stitching, I do diamond painting but I sure admire the people that do.

Super sized hug and condolences. I am starting my Medieval Town Mandala for my 60th birthday June 18th. I have put it off long enough; mostly getting comfortable with the fabric. I still - and probably will forever - prefer aida. I bought the evenweave and threads and beads from European Cross Stitch for this one. So away we go LOL 8-) I may take you up on your offer if I get confused or stuck along the way. Your finish was phenomenal. OMG Bullwinkle, brings back fond Sat. morning cartoon memories.

Hi, just finding your podcast. My heart goes out to you, I know what you are going through. My husband was sick last year, got progressively worse, hospitals in December/January, Nursing home February 1, passed away Feb. 9. It is so hard. You are correct you can never be ready, I miss him so much. I have to sell our home, and change so much. We did not have much, now I have less in so many ways. We can do this, virtual hugs. I have to say, you know I adore seeing your pic updates, but there is something about seeing them in your videos...when you hold up your Chatelaines that helps to translate the scale of the project really well for me. Also am impressed with your progress in the reindeer antler village. LU2P 😘♥️😊

Hi, I have done that hardest of journeys and I had no time to prepare, but I’m glad because the dread would have been worse. There isn’t really time to prepare. I lost Glyn in 2004 and I still miss him although my story has a happy ending as I am remarried to a widower so we helped each other to stand up again. I would be only too happy to write to you if you would like to. Just email me and I’ll get back to you. I’m sorry for your loss and I hope life throws you something sweeter. Life just changes so much. My first handyman job was to mend the toilet seat. There was a lot of swearing and shouting involved but I changed it so I was successful. Loved seeing your work, it’s always beautiful. And I’ve missed seeing you. Love and hugs Sara 😊💕🌷
