I am stitching some Halloween and Christmas in July. Bug bites can definitely cause a lot of reaction. Happy you didn’t have to go to the ER. You pronounced my name correctly lol. Thank you so much for the August Trucking Along Chart❤️

Benadryl knocks me out! I’m sorry that your stitching time was interrupted by that bug bite. I love the “Sleep in Your Own Bed” retreat idea. Drapes from that fabric will be fabulous! Happy Fourth to you and the Mister!

Wow watch out for those mosquitoes. I am stitching Christmas in July. I am making three more of Shepherds Bush Christmas Stockings. When I finish these I will have made 14 of the different patterns. I am hopeful that this will be the last of them. I have a feeling it won’t. I have grandchildren that will one day get married and that will mean we will need more. Oh my! I love that Christmas fabric you got. I’m trying so hard to not purchase more fabric. I am certain I have SABLE (stash accumulated beyond life expectancy) and don’t need anymore. I’m sure you knew what sable was but wasn’t certain that who read would know. 😊

Sorry about the bug bites giving you some uncomfortable days. That happens to me when I get a spider bite, so I know what you were feeling. Love your applicques, it is goning to be a great quilt when finished. We had about 3 hours of neighborhood fireworks here last night, I thought they were finished and it started up again for another hour!!! No sleeping was accomplished until after midnight, lol. My husband and I watched a beautiful fireworks display last night from a friend's front yard. Communities don't seem to actually celebrate the 4th on the 4th anymore. I don't like it when people shoot off fireworks late at night. I'm planning to stitch along with Jolly July for Christmas this year.

I know exactly what you mean about waking up tired! Just a complete restless sleep will do that. Christmas in July is such fun. Best time to get ornaments and pillows done. That sleep in your own bed retreat sounds like such fun! Happy 4th of July. My dogs aren’t a fan of the fireworks either but we spent lots of cuddling with them. Have a great week

Try planting Citronella Geranium and Lavender in your yard. We have a small yard so I have 4 plants of each but I find planting the citronella in the corners then the lavender in between works well. Christmas in July would be fun! Happy 4th Christine and Brad! We celebrated July 1st yesterday, much of the celebrations were low key due to all the fires up here fireworks were cancelled!

Unfortunately, I’m a mosquito magnet also. I normally don’t go outside after the sun starts setting. As I’ve gotten older, my reactions have intensified also. June went fast, it’s hard to believe that Christmas is only six months away! Have a happy 4th of July!

So sorry about your reaction to the bug bites! I was out picking raspberries the other night and got bit like crazy! I love that curtain fabric! It's going to be perfect for your craft room! I will be Christmas stitching for Jolly July. My Christmas List by Silver Creek Samplers will be my main focus along with Misty's Christmas Mystery stitch from Luminous Fiber Arts.

You might consider Sewing the red curtains to the beige curtains right under the grommets. That would give you red curtains with a top beige stripe but you could still use the grommets that way

That would be a nice idea to do, but I don't want the red curtains in here any longer, I want the Ghastlie Notions fabric as my curtains instead.

I am Christmas stotching for Jolly July. I have problems with bug bites too. It seems like it takes a lot longer for them to go away.

Get the Benadryl Cream and apply directly to the bites; this will save you from the wooziness of the pills. See an allergist soon please! Also, wrap a rubber band around the hem of your sleeves and pants legs.

I was using a 1% hydrocortisone cream since that is what I had on hand. Helped a lot with the stinging and itchiness, not so much with the wooziness. Great idea on the rubber bands too, thank you!

Hi Christine, I hear you ob bug bites. My body has much stronger reactions than it did when I was a child. AND I grew up playing in the woods of Massachusetts! Last Thursday my husband pulled a tick out of my back - NEVAH had a tick bite in my life. This am we spend in Urgent Care because I developed a nasty rash on my upper lip and under my nose - related? who know. But I am with you. Maybe it's the bugs of today. The Christmas pattern looks adorable.

Happy 4th. My pups hate the fireworks. Same happened to my daughter last night. Something bit here. She had the swelling and hives. Had ti take Benadryl. Christmas.

I react to mosquitoes bites the same way, NOT fun!! Hope your's don't keep boythering you. My dogs are the same - the oldest dog could care less about loud noises, the middle dog doesn't like sirens air brakes or fireworks (she lived on an 18-wheeler for 7 years), the puppy doesn't like fireworks or thunder!!

I have reactions to poison ivy. Those mosquitoes and sweat bees get me also. How will you finish the Halloween stitch? Dinosaur turtle

I'm not sure how I will finish it yet. I've been trying to come up with an idea, but nothing is coming to mind so far. Probably a flat fold or flat mount... 🤔🤔
