What a fun video, Cindy! Thank you for sharing your retreat adventure at Primitive Gatherings, your camper tour, and some beautiful photos of UP waterfalls! I have never attended a cross stitch retreat, so I appreciate all of you on floss tube who share your experiences. Going to Primitive Gatherings is on my wish list for 2024! We live in SE Michigan and love the UP! It has been our yearly summer vacation destination for 28+ years. I am hooked after one retreat. Jacobpalooza was this past weekend in London Ontario with Jacob from Modern Folk Embroidery. I have so many new friends who have already subscribed to my flosstube that is quite new. I purchased amazing linens and learned a new stitch from Jacob. I even found a few people from my hometown that I can stitch with.

Loved seeing your cost camper. Isn’t it nice to have a handy husband, I have one also. We have camped for years, and now have progressed to a 40 ft motor coach, which is so comfortable, but not always easy to get in certain places. We are in the Deep South, but would love to travel to see all those beautiful waterfalls! Wishing you safe and fun travels and stitching🪡🏕

Just watched your video and to my surprise heard my name mentioned as a new subscriber! And, how unusual to have TWO Ronnas! I don’t run across my name often! I really enjoy your videos, and your traveling adventures. Your choices for stitches are much like what I choose. I’m in Missouri, not far from Quilters Station in Lees Summit, Missouri. They have several retreats that are quite popular among flosstubers. You may want to add that to your list of possible retreats to attend. I’ve never been to a retreat. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I have never been to a retreat. Waiting for retirement. We love to camp but I like my bathroom so we have a fifth wheel. I really enjoy hearing about all your adventures.

So great to see you back. Sounds like you had a very nice time at the retreat. I have never been to one but since I am from Northern WI, Primitive Gatherings would be a good one to start with. Your haul was amazing, that place is spectacular. Look forward to seeing more Flosstubes from you in the future.

Your retreat looked like fun! Your finishes are so darling! Thanks for sharing video of your trailer. Sam has done a fantastic job fixing it up!! When I retired and was stitching more, I quit using QSnaps and switched to vintage hoops that I bought on ebay. They are so much lighter, thinner, and easier on the hands. Barbara

How exciting that you go to meet Teresa! My back was killing me at my retreat, so I switched to my camping chair, and put a pillow behind my back, and that was MUCH better! I'm going to Lori Brechlin's Christmas Open House stitching day, and I am taking my camping chair. I already gave her a heads up. :) I think it has a lot to do with the position that you're sitting in. I'm used to stitching in my recliner. I'm having retreats in March, and September in 2024. If you come to the one in September, you could make some of those acorn thread holders. I think our theme will be acorns and squirrels.

How my gosh!!! So I didn't go to the retreat, but I was able to stop by Primitive Gatherings this fall. As a child I lived in a town near Larsen and we camped every summer in Door County. I now live in Colorado and It''s been on my bucket list to go back and see the house that I lived in (it was built in the 1880's) then camp in Door county. Not to mention stopping in at a few shops along the way. We travel with a 20' trailer and 5 dogs. How crazy is that!!! One campground that I had looked at staying at was the High Cliff State Park!! So I just missed running into you!!!! My husband would have loved a fishing buddy! So enjoyed your video.

If you get back High Cliff state park is a nice park with lots of hiking trails. It's pretty empty mid week which is great. The fresh water is located by the pump out site. The singage is a little thin and I didn't see the sign till after we had set up. Had to carry water to the camper.

It’s a small world isn’t it??? We just didn’t have time to swing by Door County but I want to do that next time. I also wanted to go Country Sampler needle shop. But they were closed. Soooo jealous of your bathroom!❤

I made sure that our trip included a stop at the Country Sampler and it was fabulous. I also enjoyed your camping set-up. Such a talented hubby you have. We need something a bit bigger with all the doggos. I would also be the one to attend a retreat while camping !!@@cindysadventuresinstitching 😀

I bet you’ll have a great time. I wish there was a cross stitch club close to us. There’s one in Ellettsville called Hoosier Stitchers. Have you been to it? I’ve only been once. I want to go more often.

Hi Cindy! I loved hearing about the retreat and your adventures! Thank you for the tour of your teardrop, too. I love the modifications. How fun to camp while retreating. We want to get a Little Guy camper…the timing just hasn’t been right yet. I haven’t been to a retreat yet, but may in the future. The all day sitting would get tough for me, too! Would have to take breaks to move around! Thanks for sharing all you’re up to! It’s fun to watch!

About 5 years ago I lost a eedle while stitching i even crawled on the floor couldnt find it nowhere I gave up my husband was a diabetic and had neuropothy in his feet the next day he asked me to look at his foot it hurt I didnt see anything next day worse i said you need to go to drhe said no next day very swollen red and hot i said im calling the dr she got him in and thought it was gout but had a xray taken they found my needle in his foot he had to have surgery in the hospital for 3 days and in a wheelchair for 3 weeks i was so upset and felt awful about it

So sorry to hear that your husband found your needle that way. I bought Cindy a magnet that she can "sweep" her sewing room floor with to help find her needles and pins. It works really well. Now if we could just find the one she lost in the couch!

Oh my word! I haven’t lost a needle that I haven’t found but if my husband found one in his foot I’m sure I would never hear the end of it! He would probably ban all needles from the house in which case I would miss him very much 😂

Thanks for sharing an interesting video. I’m going to my first workshop this weekend, it’s with Jeanette Douglas 😊. We have a campervan and love going away with our three dogs. The workshop is in Cumbria in the UK and I did think about going in the van but I decided to treat myself and stay in a hotel instead.
