The first few weeks of school can be horrendous. When I taught elementary school the classes went through reorganization after the first two weeks. If they scrambled the classes due to how many kids showed up at the start of school, it was like starting over. I love your temperature tree and I think it’s the prettiest one I’ve seen. I am in the process of stitching Christmas ornaments for my four grandchildren. I started doing that from those time they were born. Have a great week!

Love stitching and listening to you. Have a great school year. I just had knee replacement, the best thing I ever did. Absolutely no pain now. One knee in January and another in June. Was a piece of cake. You will get there. Yes, eat all the stuff, just less as if you don't, you will crave it. And it will never be off your mind. CHRISTMAS. 😊

Such discrimination!!! (By the insurance companies as to weight!!!!!). I will share that during my recovery from my knee surgery I planned ahead and purchased lots of Lean Cuisine, Weight Watchers, etc. entries to eat during my recovery time. My dear hubby’s cooking skills are limited he makes many things I can’t eat. I had a light breakfast, we had take out a couple of times but gee I lost 25 lbs.! No exercise. I felt content. Planner, I purchased the same calendar/ planner as Caroline Zook uses. Two lined pages plus the two page calendar with a side bar to put additional notes. It’s a two year calendar for about $10 if memory serves me right. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us. Take care, be kind to yourself.

Hi Nancy - enjoyed watching your video and seeing all of your stitching plus what you may be stitching in the future. Your pencil case at the end may also be for holding a drink bottle to keep it cool, that is if there is an opening at the top.

Nancy, glad you were able to see a different doctor and get some understanding from him. I know how hard it can be to get anything done. In 2021, I had my right shoulder replaced in April, I had my right knee done in December. I just had my left Achilles tendon done less than a month ago. I am still not allowed to put any weight on it. I will need my left knee and shoulder done eventually. Jumping though hoops to get things done, should be left to the younger crowd. We just want to keep on working. It should be easier. Love your projects, looking forward to your next floss tube.

Nancy - love seeing all your WIPs as always! I’m sorry for what you’re going through with your knees but I’m glad that your new doctor has been more understanding. My dad finally had his wrecked knees replaced in 2019. He lived in constant pain for YEARS and after he had his knees replaced he was like, why didn’t I do this sooner 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. If it comes to that for you, I hope you have the experience he had because he’s like a new person.

I wish there were 50 hours in a day to stitch everything I have the pattern for. I am glad you found an empathetic doctor…it really helps. Right now I am trying to stitch a trading card for Laura’s challenge but Christmas stitching is just around the corner and there will be lots of ornaments.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with the knee issue. It seems more and more people are (or maybe I'm just getting old😉). My mom got the " you have to lose some weight first" discussion as well, and, like you, wondered how she was gonna do it when it hurt to walk. She was able to find a set of pedals on Amazon that are "portable" and can be set in your home at a comfortable chair. By using that (and modifying the diet a bit), she was able to get in movement without hurting herself. And bonus, she strengthened the muscles around her knee, which will help with recovery. 5 months later, she has lost the required 50 lbs and is going to the doc tomorrow to schedule the procedure. I hope toy are able to find something to assist as well.

I am so glad that you have a good Orthopedic Surgeon. My Family Favorite Holiday is And always will be Christmas. It was my Dad’s favorite time of the year. I bought a pretty Lori Holt spiral, secretary type lined notebook and I try very hard to write down the date, where I placed the order and what was in the order (amount$) . If it is back ordered I put a note in red and when I the package is delivered after I check the order( I have been know to be missing a floss or two in an order) I cross it off in my notebook. It took me a long time to arrive at the decision that I needed to do this. If I order just floss or fabric I write down what project it is for. They say 21 days or times of doing something and you have developed a new habit.

Wonderful video as usual. So sorry your knees are bothering you so much. I wish you well and pray for you to feel better. Love the project bag. I just bought some soft and stable to also try out in a project bag. 🤞🏻. Be well. Christmas is great, but Halloween is my favorite holiday. Love to dress up the kids and Grandchildren and go tricker treating and do up all the decorations.

Christmas will be here before we know it. I am struggling with a bad knee also. My doctor said for every pound of weight you lose that eliminates 7 lbs of pressure off the knee.

Hi Nancy. Loved all of your projects and of course the haul:) I have a small start on Midnight Watch so I'll jump into that SAL. I'm also working on Away We Ride by Blackbird and one of the colors is Pumpkin Pie by Gentle Arts. It may be a good substitution for the orange that you need for Feast of Friendship. I'm glad that you got further with the new ortho but it's so frustrating to have to jump through all the hoops while continuing to be in constant pain. I feel for you! I feel you with the knees! I love my HRH pieces, but I don't like the fact that they doesn't use the same symbol for a color from square to square. So jealous you found a Lady of the Flag to borrow. If I ever get a copy I will also do the blue conversion.

Hi Nancy :-)) your tree looks great I think maybe next year I might do a temperature piece..weather is quite interesting I live in Indiana and I was born in July and that year it was cool and my mom tells the story my grandpa bought them a fan and it was turned on once just to say they did it was quite the July!!

I had vision problems several years and got rid of all my stitching stuff. Come to find out it was my BP meds causing it. And like you I had an extensive collection of charts especially the PS Santa and others they were the good old card stock. Now trying to collect them all again. Christmas

Love the video and just purchased a hawk run😬 I may have missed it but did you say what count you’re doing your hawk run on? Just had a knee replacement last summer, I can walk again without having to preplan everywhere I went how much walking it would require. I hope and pray for the best outcome for you.

Yes I did, but I also cut the page in the middle the length of the fold. I could only put three pages in the punch at a time

Nancy - Your Santa does not have a 'mistake'. You deviated from the pattern. It's okay. Not even designers can always stitch their designs exactly as charted. Best wishes of less painful knees! PS: What was the name of the Fox and Rabbit sampler you showed? Thanks.

Hi Nancy, I think you will be helped a good bit by the Voltarin when it kicks in. It really helped me with the pain and getting around better before my two hip replacements and back surgery. Praying the doctor can find the underlying issue with your other knee. I really enjoyed seeing all your beautiful projects. I cannot wait to see the "Lady" in a blue dress. I loved that Halloween project bag! Happy Stitching! Dottie
