What a warrior Cotto is! He always let you know when you were on your way home after the fight...you were indeed, just in a fight.

Floyd uses his forearms to frame well and keep his opponents at bay, sometimes punching off the openings created by framing.

Indeed. Great angle positioning upstairs as well as downstairs. Cotto still out some great combinations together. Nice effort.

Floyd's skill set as a boxer is unique and unmatched whether forearms or positioning his opponent. Who does that. His quickness is often overlooked and knows how to buildup his punch landed. Amazing. LOL.

Cotto did so well against him because of how he fights he holds his eyes like a fighter should some fighters give away what they are gonna do by looking in that area no one even Floyd knew where he was gonna swing next, thats how he got through the blocking Floyd does especially on the ropes which is Floyd’s specialty i think a second fight and Cotto would’ve got him

Cotto is a rhythm fighter etc money had issues with it which in my opinion Floyd is timing and distance level changer fighter.

Mayweather was A class in every aspect of boxing, inside, outside, on the ropes, defense, ring generalship, footwork, stamina, training, sneaky nuances and ring IQ, you could live to be 100 and I promise that will not see a boxer anywhere near Floyds level. Only chance at beating him was the in the your chest, aggressive, 100 plus punches per round for all 12 rounds style.

+brmillgr Not true whatsoever. There were several boxers throughout history that were in the same bracket of skill level as Floyd and a few of them would’ve beaten him. Examples of boxers who were/are in the same skill pool as Floyd would be: Pernell Whitaker, Vasyl Lomachenko, Gennady Golovkin, Dmitry Pirog, Muhammad Ali, Gene Tunney, James Toney, Michael Nunn, Andre Ward, Mike Tyson, Ray Leonard and Terence Crawford. Boxers who could’ve beaten him prime for prime would’ve been Pernell Whitaker, Terence Crawford, Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns and Erislandy Lara. Floyd is one of the most well-rounded fighters of all time but he’s not the only elite-level talent in history
