Homemade biscuits are the best! Buttermilk biscuits are even better. My grandmother drank buttermilk all the time, but I didn’t care to drink it. Put it in recipes and it made all the difference! Great recipe and video! Happy Father’s Day, Thomas!👍😋

My mother drank buttermilk all the time. Parents also ate a lot of oysters, sardines, polenta, fish chowder, lots of odd foods. I ate some as well. My mother was an incredible cook. There was no meat and potatoes in our house. Well, there was, but we were mostly adventurous eaters. Had to be.

My parents would break up cornbread into a glass of buttermilk and eat it with a spoon 🤭😝 my sister wouldn't touch sweet milk but she loved the cornbread and buttermilk 😅 I love baking with buttermilk but I could never drink it . Happy Fathers Day Thomas !

My grandmother's secret ingredient in her sausage gravy was buttermilk pancake mix instead of flour. She only used about half a cup (she did not use measuring cups). She made a small batch. Just enough for she and I. It was good! My mom and my brother drank buttermilk. My grandmother used it a lot in her recipes. I don't remember if I ever saw her drink it. I've drank it. It's good. Better in biscuits!

My mama made the best big fluffy biscuits the best I have ever had in my life,she used self rising flour shorting and milk.She would make a well and get a handful of shorting and work it in the well as she poured whole milk a little at a time until everything was combined and sprinkled flour on the table and flour her hands and she would take out what she needed and form in her hands the most beautiful fluffy delicious biscuits they would always be the same size she never used cutter's.Her delicious biscuits would be melt in your mouth ❤❤❤

Back in the early 1960s, my maternal grandfather regularly drank buttermilk. I was curious so he gave me a small glass of it. BARF! He ended up drinking the glass I rejected. I thought he was weird or something. Since I am now about the age he was then, I love buttermilk but don't drink it. Buttermilk biscuits are the best!

I remember one time when I was a kid I got into my grandmother’s refrigerator to get something to drink. I seen something that was like a milk carton but it wasn’t milk. I thought “yes that’s the good stuff I like to drink”. (Thinking it was eggnog). So I took a couple huge swallows and boy was I surprised!!!!!! IT WAS EGGNOG!!!! I learned the names of the one I liked and didn’t like after that, let me tell you. lol 😝🤦‍♀️🤣

Good morning 🌞 Happy Father's Day Thomas!!! I love sausage gravy and biscuits!!!!! Making me hungry 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 It seems like my parents and grandparents,.on and on... Drank buttermilk. Take a tall glass and drink it by itself, or better yet... Put cornbread in the glass of buttermilk and make a meal out of it. I'll cook with buttermilk, but I can't drink it. 😖. Yuk 🤢. Lol. Anyways.... Great job Catherine. I make homemade biscuits, but not quite the way you do.... But that's okay ☺️👍 Stay safe around there... I'm not sure if y'all are getting a lot of rain and storms.
