Check out how I flush the whole coolant system in my Range Rover P38A 2.5 DSE M51 diesel engine. I did this because I've had a lot of coolant related issues with this Range Rover. Did it help though? Please comment dow below!

Tip- when installing a new thermostat, please put it in some water and test the temperature at which it opens. I’ve caught a couple in my life that potentially saved the engine. Nice video. Cheers.

I test boil new thermostat before putting them in too. And side by side/test fit parts too. It's saved of lot of do overs🤬

Wow! Wish I had thought about that before installing... I've done it before but not been a routine.. It works anyways, so I'm lucky this one was correct. Good tip and I'll do that the next time!

Brilliant videos love watching your stuff you have really helped me out whilst working on my P38 👍 do you have a video on by passing the heater core that was leaking ? Thanks

Thank you!😁 I dont have a video specifically on how to bypass it but you can see in this or the other ones where I just use a little pipe to connect the two hoses together and bypass it that way.

Great to see my interior heater bypass tip helped in your video. Let's hope the heater matrix comes out easy and you can fix the leaks. Thanks for sharing your adventures..... M

Yes, definitely a very good tip and I'll pass it on to people who have the same problem!! This way I could test drive without any leaks until I had the time to fix the heater core👌🏽 Thanks for watching!

Td5: Suggestion. You showed a video of mostly describing your future plans, but only about 1/3 was on actually how you did the actual work -- removing hoses, flushing radiator, opening and closing drain valve on radiator, etc. Since this is a video on how to flush the coolant system, much more of the video of the actual on-the-car job should be done. Otherwise, it just become a verbal type of help, but much less instructional. After this video, it would be impossible to do these jobs on a Land Rover.

Good on ya for staying after it🍺. I think a mug with a P38 pic and Money Grabbing Bastard would suite you😉 I'll stick with my S2A. Sure its not the most comfortable vehicle but its fun to drive and the leaf springs pound the plies back up😲😆 All Land Rovers are like women - They leak when you don't want them to, moan on long journey's, embarrass you in front of friends and spend more money than you ever expected once you've commit yourself to one!🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks a lot!!😅 Yeah stick with that, it'll be worth it.. The 110 300Tdi has been reliable too, an amazing vehicle!

@@Td5Adventures my S2A is 200TD powered (converted by a fuckwit) and had 200tdi Dirustery so I'm aware of the TDI simple dependability. I'd love a Cummins 5.9 D110SW😎 How's your current Defender compare to your old green D130DC?

@@R.Sole88109 still nice! I like the 200, had two D1s with them. I like the 300Tdi and the reliability but the 130 Td5 was much more enjoyable for everyday driving as well as long trips and in 3 years never failed to start either. I would still go for a Td5 if I could but there is really no reason to swap my 300Tdi for one at the moment 😉 Maybe some day I can swap my 110 hcpu for another 130 Td5!

@@Td5Adventures Aye the TD5 is a decent engine. I'm just not a fan of electrickery on engines no matter how refined it makes them. If it's not fitted then it can't fail!👍🏻 eg oil in the ECU wiring loom😉 I'm looking for to your next video mate.

@@R.Sole88109 That's true but as soon as the Td5 has a problem the computer tells me exactly what it is. A mechanical engine doesn't help out as much!
