As a first time job it took me 24 labour hours. I'd guess with the experience I'd have it done in about 15-16 next time.

Do you have to disconnect the fuel lines from the Fuel Pressure Regulator before removing injectors? Conflicting forum post's claim not doing so can lead to fuel where it shouldnt be and subsequent run-away? Edit: so does disconnecting Fuel Pump fuse, then turning engine over with key negate the above?
@Td5Adventures27 күн бұрын
I did not remove any fuel lines from the engine. There is no risk for runaway engine when it comes to diesel fuel. Runaway occurs when oil gets pushed into the combustion chamber, which can not happen when removing an injector👌🏼

When I need to get my Defender into my garage I just fit a set of wheels without tyres. They were the cheapest wheels I could find and I keep them specially for this purpose. Regarding the Skoda, would it not have been easier just to travel to your sister's house and change the spring there yourself?

Thanks for posting. 2 questions: 1. If using an Apple lightning cable as the aux cable- would it also provide power in addition to audio? 2. Is the setup the same if it is a 2000 P38 that has the Alpine factory stereo? Many thanks

Hello TDAdventures I got my 2006 110 TD5 running again, I had given up trying to start it a few months ago but was encouraged by a mechanic who worked on it a few years ago to put a tiny bit of oil in the cylinders and started it running down a hill. It still doesn't want to start on the starter but runs ok. I made a mistake in lapping the valves as the head was off but was told I should not have as the valve clearances would become too tight. At this point I'm not sure what to do...
@steenjinks73596 ай бұрын
Were you not bothered by that massive defect in the injector socket wall on the new head? The whole purpose of this upgraded head is that the injector socket wall is twice as thick as the original, but the very first injector socket you look at has got a massive chip in the outer wall. I would have sent that back.

Hi, thx for that great tuto. I have a question : on my V9X Pathfinder, i also have an oil leak on the intercooler but i wonder if that oil should be in the intercooler or if the turbo itself has a problem... How to solve that ?

Good afternoon, I had exactly the same Range Rover 1997 2.5 tds, from 2004 to 2011, and the oil seal of the interior heater (radiator of the stove) flowed in the same way. But I can tell you for sure, I did not cut or break the air ducts, with a little effort they are normally removed. And judging by your engine start, do you have problems with the fuel equipment, maybe the control nozzle, maybe everything is pouring? And you need to look at the injection pump, the injection angle, the booster pump and the plunger pair. Good luck
