@SolarWebsite

Still a good habit to get into. I saw another video some time ago (maybe by AVweb, I forgot) about causes of crashes, and forgetting-to-put-the-landing-gear-down is a major cause. One of the underlying causes of that statistic seems to be that people learn to fly on fixed-gear aircraft and don't making checking for landing gear down on approaches a habit. Josh does makes this a habit, which is very smart. And it makes for nice little jokes in the videos 😉

Hi Josh, Just started watching your video but been following since your debut on YT. Just saw the part at 5:32 where you mention ANC. This reminds me of my completed CPL/IR/MEP rating where we had a few more mneumonics, such as AAA, ANC, and FORD. As you did just now. No matter what happens, Aviate first, fly the plan, check your speed, attitude, altitude, heading and check if you still have power and that your plane is clean, then analyze the issue, and continue with an action. Then return to Aviate then Navigate and Communicate. And finally you'd start with the decision making using FORD (Facts, Options, Risks, Decision). In the MEP this was obviously related mainly to Engine Failures but you'd apply that on any other non-normal situation. Before my CPL/IR/MEP training I used to only know ANC but thr othrr two mentioned ones have been of great help to keep your focus on flying the plane and structuring the work when troubleshooting problems. Just wanted to say that you do a great job, and show great examples of good airmanship. Just wanted to put these mneumonics out there for everyone to use, should some people not have any ready to use yet. Cheers buddy from Switzerland!🇨🇭

Thankful to receive your video. Meteorology. Flying around the back of the storm cell on the radar: you were confident of the cell moving SE or diminishing Y/N. Albeit 80991 has been flying through broken cloud, and between clouds at various statuses. Is it differing air density with humidity that separates clouds Y/N? N80991 panel The visual inspection of the white wiring " looks good" clean and bright. Wondering how you will use the electronic International timer and illuminating magnetic compass with your flying. In conclusion I'm just starting to practice writing ATC and tower instructions at this stage, ' just not quick enough'. Be vigilant around those fluffy white things containing precipitation. You don't have hot bleed air, glycol or anti-icing 🕊🌫 Have fun
