Turkish Airlines does something similar. Consider that JAL is an airline that can board a whole jet plane (including pre-boarding/people needing assistance, with kids, etc.) in 20 minutes.

Wow... I was on a flight (final leg cross-country) from Atlanta to Pensacola once (also about 45 minutes) where they didn't even do drink service as there wasn't enough time once we were high enough. Solo Solo-san gets a full meal! Flight attendant EXPERT MODE!

I truly wish our flights were as reasonably priced as yours. I recently priced a flight of about the same time/distance here in the US and my cost would have been close to $500 for the middle seat economy class. I nearly cried.

This is why I would like to vacation in Japan. The yen is weaker than the US dollar so you can have a good trip in an interesting country. I'd love to try all the stuff he's been showing us!

I don't know how long you're thinking it is. Tokyo to Osaka is 500 km/300 miles. That's slightly less than San Francisco to Los Angeles. I see Delta for $98 economy round trip, and $298 first class round trip.

@@straightpipediesel And that's lovely. I wish that I had the same prices. But I was looking at a trip just slightly longer than that and the cost was nearly $500. I don't live in an area that is as well traveled as San Francisco or Los Angeles. Distance isn't the only factor in cost for flights.

@@EbonRaven Sure, there's expensive commuter flights in Japan too. Tokyo-Osaka is the most heavily traveled route in the entire country, so a comparison with SFO-LAX or LGA-DCA is appropriate.

I'm booked for the end of March Tokyo-Fukuoka. I'll be flying on the newer First Class seat on the 787. I've flown in the first-class seat you flew on in this video on several occasions and it's fantastic. When Gran Class first came out on the Tohoku Shinkansen, that seat reminded me of this one. For a comparison, Tokyo-Fukuoka in JAL First Class is substantially cheaper than the Qantas equivalent of Class J flying Brisbane to Sydney, which is slightly shorter than Tokyo-Fukuoka. I'm looking forward to the Diamond Premier Lounge on the next trip though. Every time I've flown out of Haneda prior to Covid, I used the Sakura Lounge. I could be mistaken, but back then I didn't think the Diamond Premier Lounge was an option on Domestic First Class. Dying to try that Curry Bread though.

Wow a meal on a short flight, now that is good. Although I'm not sure I could cope with eating what looked to be a lot of lovely food so quickly then getting off the plane. You managed well considering the turbulence making everything shake.

Thanks for the fun video! Not the best takoyaki though. Usually, the dough isn't runny and the outside is pleasantly crusty. I wish you could have gone to a better takoyaki stand somewhere outside the airport. I look forward to more of your future videos!

I kinda die laughing every time I read "leaf juice", love it. Also as an American I am half confused anytime grape juice is not the violently dark purple of Concorde grapes which is what most grape juice in America is made from. Thank you for taking us on this trip!
