I know you've done a lot of Queenstown now. But I think the approach you're looking for with the visual circuit in the valley is the VOR/DME B approach for 23. Before the A320s and RNAV approaches, Air New Zealand's old B737s used to fly this approach. You start the visual procedure above Slope Hill (QN VOR) then navigate around the basin, passed Lake Hayes and follow the Kawarau River down the valley to the airfield. Absolute rush to fly in a jet.

I really need to learn how to fly VFR, I taught myself how to fly IFR in the bigger planes like the 737 and a320 and that is all I fly in the sim. I have no idea how to fly a turboprop or any sort of propeller plane and don't know how VFR.

It's worth learning! Very fascinating. I think a relatively easy prop to learn is the Comanche. It's fast, and has a lot of great features. From there you can learn a plane like the King Air in no time.

@@budguy21 heck he's essenstially giving us instruction by flying his streams, which is even more valuable. cant log the time obviously but cool tidbits and experience he shares. reminds me a lot of a chef I watch on youtube that shares his 50 years of knowledge for free and for fun online. It's really a great thing to do (chef doesn't ask for anything, he doesn't get money whereas V1 gets paid a pretty good salary every time he livestreams)
